Fapped to pictures/softcore/hardcore for 25 years. Realized I couldn't handle small stresses, like AT ALL. The more new women I fapped to, the more bored I would get. Had some ED and DE the last few years, and felt tired a lot.
Stopped all porn and fapping to screens.
No libido for first 45 days.
ED/DE resolved after 45 days!!!!! Stupid urologist wanted to give me Cialis at age 38 and didn't even ask about porn!!!
Mood was immediately better, days after quitting. The first couple of days, I cried and felt a glimpse of heaven. Yes, THAT is what resetting your dopamine is like, as well as fixing cognitive dissonance.
Reading books to my kids, doing my fix-it list around the house, handling stresses better. Dressing nicer when going to church. Finally feeling right with God.
Don't feel the constant need for sex/MO, but sex is great when it happens. I've learned to treat sex as a "once in a while treat", it's more enjoyable the less you have it, just like a drug or favorite food.
Teaching my sons the truth about porn / sex addiction!!! I used to think "I'm so glad I don't do drugs or alcohol, soooo glad I'm not an addict!" Ooops! Pride goes before a fall!
EDIT: Here is my guide on quitting without willpower. This is much easier to read than Easy Peasy and has updated science.
My recovery process was Easy Peasy Method -> YBOP Videos -> Dopamine Nation -> telling the truth to my family. No blocker software or other people. Also, research tantric yoni massage if you haven't tried it before, that is how sex should be.
I hope that I never go back to this poison, no matter what my life's situation will be in the future. Porn feels good for 10 seconds, and drains the happiness from the rest of your life to do that. Now I am working on not ogling women in real life, and seeing them as people when I interact with them.
My journal is here.
