Question about progress?

I'm 21 and had started my addiction back when I was 14 and needless to say I started on porn I was able to have sex at 16 (after several tries of course the Ed had set in but I chalked it up to anxiety). However for the past 1-1.5 years I only looked at P twice a week (because I knew at the end of the week when my long distance gf came over I knew I would be able to get it up still if I only looked at it twice....I know terrible yes I am ashamed but past it) however the past 2-3 months I had cut back to once a week and then the last 3-4 weeks I've been totally clean of it....my question is that is it at all possible my reboot may not be the accepted extended period of 2-6 months of guys who started on it because of how little I did view it the previous year (not the typical full blown ED and not 4-5 times a week only twice then down to just once). I mean I'm pretty excited I've woken up the past few nights with it stronger than I can ever remember. Anyhow just wanting some of y'all's opinions on the matter

Hey man! I started early too and can definitely relate to you. It's hard work but definitely rewarding once you realize how porn not only affects your libido, but also your attitude and outlook on life. Abstaining from is the only thing left to do! For us young guys, it can be long hardwork to get going. I honestly saw very little results for nine months. That sounds scary, but remember the damage we have done to our brain and how long it takes to reverse it. Don't get discouraged because of the length of the project.

I think you are going to have to put some good time between you and your porn addiction then the results will speak for themselves.

I started masturbating as a soothing type thing at a very early age. But that was mostly to fantasy or pictures, I am an old dude. I think it is much worse for you young guys who have grown up on porn videos and constant novelty. I don't mean so much worse it's just that your wiring is programmed to a very powerful visual image stream and that is mostly how you see sexuality. There is lots of great stuff to read at yourbrainonporn.com.

You can do this brother! It is not easy but man fixing these issues at your young age, that's awesome!

I would say you're making progress. But don't be content.
Beating the urge is always a challenge even if you're totally rebooted
