Hi, thank you all for all such interesting and helpful info here on this site you guys are the best. I am a male 52 years old.
So after following in the exact same footsteps of so many here regards  porn and masturbation I assume my ED. was porn/masturbation/ orgasm inflicted too.

I am on day 7 with no masturbation and day 17 with no porn. last week i masturbate for just one time and that was for the porn test. I have change my diet, back to the gym to get the testosterone going again, and all in all just taking good care of myself again with much less alcohol intake too .

However,.. surprisingly I find that  I don't crave porn near as much as I thought,....I guess when I found out what it did to me it scared the living daylights out of me...lol.

It seems like being without porn is not the real problem and drawback for me.  I do have the urge to masturbate though, every day a few times. I still can't get a  natural erection, I need help from my wife who sometimes seems very frustrated and impatient with me...She still thinks that she doesn't turn me on any more..That is of course so far from the truth , because I have a beautiful and very sexy wife She turns me on like crazy,... I just can't seem to get that mind to penis erection  connection somehow.

After I told her about my findings  on my PIED she was very mad at me and we had a huge argument. She is under the impression that everything has to change now..our whole approach I guess. The more I am trying to convince her that the first steps to recovery  will come from my part (stopping the porn and masturbation) the less she understands, we went through a rough week of arguments, and I am very, very heartbroken. Then on top of it all with my  ED I feel like such a useless husband right now. I feel that If I can just get her to  show me a little more physical affection my recovery would be easier , or at the very least my progress could be  measured to see if things are working again....But she seems  to be a  little distant right now.

We are working through this one day at a time now.
So my question is this:... I know that Viagra and other similar products work in a different manner but will it help on my road to recovery or am I better without it and just ride it out with no pills..... I just want to to please her. She seems  somewhat lost and impatient  in my journey to recovery....And quite frankly  I am too..Its a horrible thing!.. :(

Hi blood pressure is a erection killer so I am also going to include that I am on no medication, antidepressants whatsoever except for  a blood pressure medication only. called  "Valsartan" I  don't believe its  a beta blocker.
found this info online for it:
Valsartan belongs to a family of medications known as angiotensin II receptor blockers. These medications are used to lower mild-to-moderate high blood pressure. ... Valsartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, resulting in the relaxation of the blood vessels. ....Just for anyone that might want to know.

So last night....We were just casually holding each other in the kitchen, And while pressing her against me I immediately started getting that old good erecting itchy feeling in me....I was so excited and immediately started to grow.  ...It was only about a 60% erection, but what was important is that it was there. That very good natural, horny excited feeling that I remembered...
I think when she saw the surprise on my face she also realized my struggles  up to that point. And as loving as she always was and is,...we sneaked away from the kitchen and  she finished my 60% erection off  to a orgasm.

That was the best quickie/reward I have ever had .And that was just for the mere fact that it came spontaneous and natural after a long long time. And a bonus reward was also to have my loving wife back.  I love her so much , hence all the anxiety over all my ED.

It can only get better from here on out. It's still very early in my journey, But to get my wife back on my team last night made me  felt like a true Victor! . I'm scared of flat lining and don't know when and how that's gonna effect me, or how I am gonna handle that.

I am and was very strict on my diet and alcohol intake the last 3 weeks too.

I did days of research on this and here was my conclusion. This might be over the top but until I  am healed I stay clear of all bad food until I know better. You can add and take from this list as you please, but it worked great for me.
My the last 3 weeks consisted of mostly leaves/salads....

The dont's:, Try avoid these...
I don't smoke, but if you do  then STOP imediately!.its bad ...bad..
No fatty foods. Fat gained in the body is a big testosterone killer.
No soy, milk or soy products,...sauce etc.
No mint....spearmint can significantly reduce levels of testosterone
White Bread and Processed Carbs.
Microwavable Popcorn..... lined with perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA)
Non-grass-fed Beef.
Bottled Water.. Bisphenol A, commonly referred to as BPA, is a chemical component found in most plastic food containers and cans that?s associated with negative impacts on fertility in both men and women.
Canned Soup high in dietary sodium (a can of Spaghetti-O?s has 1780 mg?as much as 10 bags of Doritos!),
Sweetener/ flavored soda ? increased the risk of erectile dysfunction, because it raises cholesterol levels and damages the arteries in the penis.
Farmed Fish.Exposure to PCBs and dioxin has been linked to lower Testosterone  levels,That's why farmed Tilapia is Worse Than Bacon.
Avoid a high protein diet, The bad of it is I need that for muscle build in the gym, so you are going to find that balance for yourself somewhere...I cut Yogurt too but didn't know if that was necessary, it is very high in protein.
Cheese is one of the foods highest in saturated fat, which can lead to arterial blockage
pizza second-highest contributor to saturated fat intake

THE GOOD STUFF:
I know there's no miracle food to prevent ED But these may help...(It helped me.).
Mediterranean diet, which includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, heart-healthy fats including nuts and olive oil, fish, and a little Red wine.
The good stuff, Arugula , Spinach, Beets, high concentration of nitrates. ... Nitrates are vasodilators, which means they open up blood vessels and increase blood flow.
Carrots, lettice.Collard greens,Kale,Chard, Broccoli,
Almonds
Fresh vegetables,.. raw if possible.
Oysters, shell food.Like clams, they're rich in iron, which helps ensure that your blood flows everywhere it needs to. They're also high in magnesium, a natural erection enhancer; low levels of the mineral have been shown to contribute to ED.
Dark chocolate in moderation
Pistachio nuts
Tomato's
Watermelon
Grapefruit..... (Don't take grapefruit if on blood pressure medicine.)
Vitamin supplements, especially  B12  for testosterone development.
Bowl of oatmeal in the morning is excellent for ED. Quote ..."( Oatmeal contains the amino acid arginine, which improves the effect nitric oxide has on reducing stiffness of blood vessels and helping with erections. In fact, arginine has been suggested for an erectile dysfunction treatment because it helps relax the muscles around the blood vessels in the penis.)"

And the heavy exercise/ High cardio will also  get the testosterone going too.

If any of you can benefit from this I can guarantee you that it will boost your libido 10x .

I know its very early in my journey to a long road of full healing, But I will do whatever it takes to get to a healthy mind body and soul again. And in just 3 weeks this has brought me excellent results. hope this helps. And please any recommendations would be so appreciated.  :)

Tnx Tom.
You are very welcome, I am trying to put it all out there  so it can help anyone, it doesn't seem that there is much emphasis on diets here. I found it to be extremely important.

I am also trying to keep my alcohol intake only to weekends and even then in moderation, I went a little heavy on the whiskey on Saturday and I sure had to pay for it, I can truly feel the negative effects of alcohol for a couple of days afterwards.,.. I have to admit. Live and learn...
