Penis Damage From PMO?

Hey nation,

Just wanted to throw this out there as I'm interested if anyone else has done damage to their penis from excessive death gripping/PMO'ing over the years.

Now when i say damage I'm not talking about peyronie's disease, or bending / breaking or causing any structural damage to your member - feel free to post if you have though to share your story.

Basically for me I never used lube (rarely anyway) and I'd death grip - so it's only soft, surface tissue damage. I'm using a lotion product Man 1 Man oil, and it's already starting to heal up pretty good on day 27. I never bled, or caused bruises or anything like that...it's more of a slow process where I've caused kind of callouses on a few small spots.

I'd be lying if I was to say I'm not worried it might be permanent, after all I'm 35 and I've be doing the same thing daily basically for 20 years - but hopeful as well because the penile tissue is like the rest of our skin, if you death gripped your index finger for 7 hours daily and vigorously moved up and down, it'd do the same thing. It's possible some scar tissue might be left and I'm ok with that.

Anyway keen to hear if anyone else has experienced this or recovered from it.

Aussie.

Hey Aussie,

I'm not sure if I have experienced any permanent damage but here's my experience. I tried to have sex with PIED so I was around 60-70% hard. After the 30 minutes of failure, I was driving home and I felt some immense pain in my lower area. When I got home, I noticed that the foreskin was inflamed and large and sensitive. It hurt like hell. I was really worried that I broke my dick but I just gave it a few weeks and it returned to normal. I don't experience that much discomfort anymore down there.

One thing that I noticed as I got older was that I tended to leak some urine after masturbating. I'm not sure if this is a result to weak/strong pelvic floor or just some weird effect to p. I'm not entirely sure about this one.

Hey bro,

I'm circumcised so cant really comment on the foreskin thing you experienced - when you say lower area was it just your penis that hurt? if so I'd say not being erect enough must've injured it as the foreskin is "loose" nothing to worry about in my opinion. If it was pain around your balls or lower back could be because you didn't ejaculate

As for urine leakage, i haven't had that but I've noticed when I'm using, daily - my urine flow is weak - a textbook symptom of prostate enlargement however when i abstain it goes back to normal - my conclusion is that prolonged edging sessions causes the urethra to become inflamed thus making it harder for the urine to flow properly and possibly due to pre -ejaculate being stuck.

I going to guess most of us have some soft tissue damage at one time or another  The skin on it is quite soft and sensitive  so even if there is no visible damage  there will probably be some pain irritation discomfort etc.  I know there were times where I'd pretty much caused something of a rash on it.  Always in a few days  it healed right up.

Now that I am clean I have no issues

When I was I teenager (I?m 43 now) I did most of my masturbating while taking a bath. I would use shampoo as a lubricant and after a while it would dry out my penis skin extremely bad and I?d have like a layer of hard dry skin and then it would fall off like a molting snake.

This really isn?t what you are talking about but your post reminded me of this. It?s pretty funny in retrospect but not so much at the time.

Discobolus....    I had the same habit as a teenager  for years  right up until recently. Until you mentioned it, I totally forgot I used to do that.  Somewhere along the way about 3 or 4 years ago  the habit just sort of disappeared.

I've had prostatitis and was hospitalised for it. I'm convinced it was because of hours of edging. The prostate is a delicate organ. You need to really take care of it. Prostate cancer is pretty common as we get older. We need to try and protect our prostate as much as possible and not put too much stress on it. In my opinion, masturbating several times and day can inflame the prostate.

I used to PMO in the bathroom, so with a soap I never had experience penis damage. However, for the past 6 months my addiction got stronger due to current situation and stressors. I would watch porn and masterbate twice a day with dry hands to the point that it created not only friction on the outside but also developed trauma inside. I peed blood. I stopped for a week then did it again. Porn sucks I hope it was not invented.

Has anyone used Ironwill app counter? It helped my a bit I was clean for 15 days as it thrilled me to keep adding days on the widget.

It's happened to me a few times to get my dick's head swollen and hurting after PMO-ing for 5 times or so. Fortunately, it returned back to normal after a few days.

Wow dude that sounds brutal - sorry to hear that!

How old are you if you don't mind me asking, and what symptoms did you have?

I had a weird occurrence the other day - got oral of my GF and it hurt in my rectum after I ejaculated - a dull stinging ache kind of thing that went away in a minute or so.

I was on hardmode for 35 days prior to that, so could have been from abstinence. A few guys said it could be from pelvic floor muscles and over using them with edging - i hope its not my prostate!

thanks for your post,

Aussie.

I had this happening to me a few times, pain like that after ejaculating. It actually freaked me out, I started thinking about the prostate.

Hope you're well, @Aussie.

Guessing here - from the "use it or lose it" school, I know sometimes in the past when I have made my ejaculation muscles work hard, they ache briefly (just like you described - a dull stinging ache that lasts for a short time and goes away).  My guess is, those muscles were a little out of shape.  The same way you hurt after you exercise when you've, well, waited too long since the last time, and you, well, kind of hammer to convince yourself you can keep up and all that.  The sex and O version of being a "weekend warrior."

Anyway, I wouldn't over-analyze it yet, and I would pay attention to whether it fades or continues with subsequent ejaculations on your personal reboot journey.  Which of course is where your mileage may vary depending on your goals and the limitations you impose for the journey, right?

Stay healthy,
Murgs
