The Pursuit of Innocence

Day 48

So I took a day off from work today because I was feeling mentally drained and unmotivated.
I went on a long walk this morning, took in some much needed sunlight and immediately felt better.
Even though I did not accomplish my daily non-negotiable tasks, I'm not feeling guilty, this break is very needed in order for me to resume the journey.

Have I completed all the daily non-negotiable tasks ?

No, I did not meditate and read, but I promise everything will be back to normal starting tomorrow

What I did well today ?

Today's goal is to rest, and I rested well, feeling recharged !

What I did poorly today ?

None

What my focus will be for tomorrow ?

Lift weights, go on a walk and do some house cleaning, will also catch up on reading.
I'm sorry to say this but I will not be going to bed early like I originally planned, because Saturday's UFC fight card is just too good to miss.

Day 50

Felling recharged over the weekend, ready to take on the upcoming week.

Have I completed all the daily non-negotiable tasks ?

I did everything except going to bed early on Saturday because I stayed up late watching UFC.

What I did well today ?

Finished my job related report and did meal prepping

What I did poorly today ?

None

What my focus will be for tomorrow ?

Same as usual, follow the process, do whatever I can in my power to become the person I want to be.

Great job pursuit!

Congrats for the 22 days! Continue trusting the process I am sure not only you will recover but you will be a better man who can control his own live and desires. Wish you the best man and keep the good job!

Day 22

So, I've broken my previous streak of 21 days, and I'm feeling great.
The biggest improvement I've seen so far is improved energy level, I no longer yawn non stop in the morning and feel to need to take a nap in the afternoon.
Morning wood still hasn't returned, but I don't fret about it, it's still early in the journey.

Have I completed all the daily non-negotiable tasks ?

Yes, I went to bed and woke up early, went for a walk in the morning, completed my daily personal journal entry, did two rounds of box breathing and read at least 10 pages of book.

What I did well today ?

Planned my day in advance and finished all the small tasks that I've given myself

What I did poorly today ?

I did alright

What my focus will be for tomorrow ?

Focus on better work performance by blocking off noise such as Twitter, Youtube etc. and take frequent mini breaks.
Keep making my bed in the morning, it's a very small and mundane thing but I feel like it starts my day off in the right path.

@zackergeet

Appreciate it brother !

Day 51

Today was brutal, not only did I have a nasty migraine, I was also hit with some strong urges that actually made me consider watching p, it was crazy.
Fortunately I was able take myself out of that mental mess, or it could've turned out really really bad, knowing me, just one glance at nudes can start a snowball effect that eventually erases 50 days of progress.

Have I completed all the daily non-negotiable tasks ?

Yes, I went to bed and woke up early, exercised in the morning, completed my daily personal journal entry, did two rounds of box breathing and read at least 10 pages of book.

What I did well today ?

Fought off urges, maintained the streak

What I did poorly today ?

Allowed some nasty images to develop in my head and did not shut it off immediately

What my focus will be for tomorrow ?

Same as usual, follow the process, do whatever I can in my power to become the person I want to be.

Congrats on continuing the streak and staying strong even when you were not feeling 100%.
Images forming in the head I can relate to. It sucks but just watching them pass by. You don't need to follow them but you already know that!
Keep going man.

Hey Chris, thanks for the support.
It's definitely hard to not react to urges that silently crept up without you even knowing, after all we're dealing with decades of addiction.
Wishing you all the best in your journey to quit PMO, and I applaud your transparency in your journal.

Day 55

Finally recovered from sickness. Turns out the reason I've had so many headaches lately (and eventually turned me sick) is because I was walking outside when it was very windy, and my hat just wasn't enough to block the wind. I ordered a bike trainer online so when it's windy I'll just pedal indoor to get the blood flowing.
Since I've missed a few days of work, I have a lot to catch up on, tomorrow's gonna be hectic.

Have I completed all the daily non-negotiable tasks ?

Yes, I went to bed and woke up early, exercised in the morning, completed my daily personal journal entry, did two rounds of box breathing and read at least 10 pages of book.

What I did well today ?

Got back on the process

What I did poorly today ?

Tempted to look up p when I was bored

What my focus will be for tomorrow ?

Get back on my weight lifting routine, devote most of my energy towards work, leave no time/space for p

Day 56

Feeling a bit rusty after taking a few days off, my day was pretty much spent catching up to work related stuff.
I wasn't able to wake up on time to exercise, tomorrow I WILL be working out, no excuses.

Have I completed all the daily non-negotiable tasks ?

No, I did not exercise because I wasn't able to wake up early due to messed up sleeping schedule from previous days.

What I did well today ?

Leaving no time/space for p

What I did poorly today ?

Eat some junk foods that were not in my planned diet.
I'm gonna hold myself accountable here and will not be doing this again, because 1 "forbidden food" leads to 2, then it leads to 3, then it will eventually lead to me throwing the whole meal plan away. This has happened way too many times before, with porn, junk food, skipping workout etc.

What my focus will be for tomorrow ?

Stick to my routine, lift weights before work.
When urges creep up, leave my desk immediately to break the loop.

I have been following your journal for over a month now. It inspired me to start my own journal and take things serious regarding quitting pmo. Thanks for sharing your story, I noticed you haven't updated in a while so I wanted to check and see how things are going. Keep going strong! It was helpful for me to start my journal to commit in the beginning but I found myself not keeping up with it. I was however able to continue not watching any p.... I hope all is well with you and I wanted to share with you how you helped motivate my 32 day streak of no pmo.

I'm sure there are others that have been inspired by your posts as well !
