Welcome to the forum, Giova!

You can turn this around! Don't give up hope... The brain is designed to be able to 'heal itself' given the chance.

You have two main concerns: 1) To break the habits of P/MO itself; and 2) Patiently allowing the brain, with its neurochemicals to 'reboot'.

The first part, you will have to do things differently. Change habits that surround the unwanted habits, and learn how to dismiss (not fight) urges. Abstain for at least 90 days, though for some it may take a little longer to start seeing results. Most men report of flatlining, which is a low libido during rebooting.

The second part, be patient while your brain heals itself. But be confident that it will, none of us are different about that. Also, if you have a wife, girl friend or significant other, you can rewire with them, which means retraining yourself to have real-life sex, away from the false unreal sex of a computer or phone screen.

Take courage, and you will beat this in a matter of months to a year...!

You're so welcome, brother! Yes, I know, I know... Like I told myself before: I got myself into this situation, I'll have to get myself out. It's kind of like walking away backwards from the horrible mess we made.

But there's hope that we can and will change. Keep a focused and sharp will, but also be patient and nonjudgmental toward yourself.
