Masturbation during recovery

Hello! I am 19 years old and I am able to get an erection from watching porn still. I was completely oblivious to my porn problem up until the point that I lost my virginity a few weeks ago. I was able to get an erection, however, I couldn’t ejaculate even though I was having sex for over an hour and a half. I wasn’t even close. I felt so embarrassed. I have been watching porn since the age of 10. I want to quit porn so bad so I can get back to a normal sex life. I want to be able to ejaculate during sex. This problem has taken such a huge toll on my mental health. Any advice for me would be very appreciated.

Hey man. We're here in the same boat. Be grateful at least it hasn't gotten as bad as the point where you'd get trouble getting hard(which happened with me). I know and understand how devastating mentally such things are. Stay focused on the reboot! All the best.

get yourself a copy of your brain on porn, start there for sure, and try and visualize what your sex life might be like if you continue on this path, versus how much happier you will be once you are in control. I too at two different points in my life (late teens and late 20s) was deep enough in my addiction to lose the ability to get an erection, and believe me, would have done anything to have my problem be just not being able to O. You are fortunate that you are ahead of this enough and care enough about yourself and your future that you can beat this addiction before I does more harm. I would also subscribe to channels that deal with Porn Addiction like Dr Trish on YouTube. Really it’s best to just educate yourself on the dangers before they completely take you over.

The way we talk about sex in our country is very different from how it is in most developed countries. For example, in some cultures, it's common for teenagers to have casual sex as a means of acquiring money or power. In others, it's considered very rude to ask someone out on a date unless they've already asked you once or unless one of you has already asked someone out on a date. I think people who can freely talk about it are great because there is nothing wrong with talking about a sexual gift or some adult products.
