Day 8
I crave drinking like crazy.
Okay, man. I like how you said that. The wave always breaks. Set the direction and sail true. You will be amazed what you can do. Assert sovereignty. You are a free man and you have the right to claim sovereignty and be free in your mind. free in your being. Ride the wave and come out renewed at the other end.
Day 9
It is around this time that it gets really difficult and I get closer to a relapse. I usually relapse here or resist for a few days and relapse. On rare occasions, I get to 18 days or so. This is the truth. I wish it won't happen though.
Thanks, man. Here be careful of such thoughts, because they are not necessarily true. If we tell ourselves, "8 days is my wall, I usually fall at this time.", that might have been true before, but you've also gone beyond 9 days.
I've tended to think similar to this. How did I get passed it? I think instead, "If I can make it 1 day, I can make it 1 week. If I can make it 1 week, I can make it 1 month."
Take it one day at a time, and don't set up limits for yourself.
I don't know, man, I'm not motivated to do this thing.
It's true. Both suck: the post-relapse and the rebooting process and we surely want to choose the withdrawal of the rebooting. But I can't find where I wrote what you quotedThis feeling is better than the alternative, forcing motivation where you might not feel any, is better than the feelings after we relapse.
You can do it.
