I'm a porn addict (by far the crappiest, lamest addiction ever)

15 days.

I'm doing a lot of exercise. It helps a lot. Gets me into a good headspace and gives me a lot of positive energy.

I'm trying to replace all bad habits with good habits. One of the things I've discovered is that sometimes I mindlessly start surfing the web and this can lead me to checking out an ex on facebook or whatever. And I start feeling kinda depressed and so start checking out hot girls, bla bla. Ya know where that leads. Anyway. I'm going to be very mindful of that this week. No mindless websurfing. I'm only going to do positive, mindful things.

Thanks for all the support brothers!

You're welcome and any time. Just keep your head up for any chances that might lead you to somewhere you don't want to be. I'm doing that as well and have found some change especially in replacing the bad habits with good habits. Just stick to your goal and sooner than you know it... this will be just some mere nightmare you dreamt of that felt as if it had a strong hold on your life but in actual sense it's us who holds the key to our future and all we need to do is stay in the fight.

Hey Joseph,

Day 15. I still haven't watched porn. But it's kinda fucked up. That part of my brain is still trying to get its dopamine kick. I'll find myself checking out facebook pictures for hot girls, etc. Tis fucked up. I think I have to just do a clean break from the internet for a few days.

Lamest fucking addiction ever. Sorry for the rant. Hope you are well and stay strong and keep thinking about the future. Like that idea that this bullshit with soon be like a nightmare.

Best

Day 21

The last couple of days I've been feeling really blue. Really down. I guess it's part of the process. Anyway, doing a lot of meditation and that helps.

Anyways. 21 days. That's three weeks. I'm proud of that. My aim three weeks ago was to stay off porn until the end of this month. It's looking good. Start of August, I'll aim to have a porn-free August too. Small steps lead to big things hopefully.

Stay strong everyone,

Force

Nice job!

Keep going Force is Strong.

You only get there by going one day at a time.
Hey, thanks for the kind words and great advice, Blondie. "The Good The Bad And The Ugly" is one of my favorite films by the way. I must watch it again soon. Have a great day!

Day 22.

Today is day 25. I almost fucking relapsed today. The reason why I didn't was because of this forum. I had a streak going last year and I broke it and it took me ages to get back into the correct mindset and get back on the road to recovery. But yeah, today, I could have relapsed but what stopped me was this forum. I felt like I'd have let myself down on this forum. You know, group pressure and all that to not fail. The thought that like tomorrow or the next I'd have to write on this forum "guys, I fucked up. I'm back at day 1." I just couldn't do that. In a strange way, I feel like I would be letting you all down and also letting myself down on this forum. No, I've got a good streak going, day 25, and my aim short term is one more day, medium term to have a porn-free August and long term to be free to this bullshit. So, yeah, pretty happy with myself and very happy with this forum!

Thank you all for your support!

Heck yea @forceisstrong2 Keep fighting! your share is appreciated because that moment can happen to us all. We all win this fight through each moment/hour/day but even as the fight gets easier over time you have to be ready and find whatever you can to win like you did today. Glad to hear you did not have to report a different circumstance!

Thanks @WinkTinkTillium .

Yeah, one thing I'm learning is that there will be low days. And those are the days that I need to be on guard. What's great about this forum is that it's giving me a goal every day. I have to stay away from porn so that at the end of the day I write on this forum, notch another day, jot down another small victory, a step in my recovery. Having the support here too is great. Also, not wanting to let the community here down too. I think it's important that we keep supporting each other and keep coming back until we're healthy in body, mind and spirit.

The very best,

Force

Day 27.

Nothing to report really. Other than that I made a conscious effort today not check out hot girls on insta, google, etc. And it really does help. And I mind really does feel better, stronger today. It didn't think about porn once.

Thanks for all the likes and well wishes. They mean so much.

Hey Force is Strong.

I totally agree with cutting out all those porn subs, like Instagram, yoga pictures etc. This time around I've cut out that stuff and it does seem to help. Seems to keep the mind clutter free and ready for more important things than girls you'll never even meet in real life!

Hey Blondie,

Yeah, man. I think it is super important. For the first week or two of the reboot I was using subs... and I kinda realised that my brain was just substituting porn for these subs and not really curing.

I guess what's kinda cool is that as porn lessens its grip on my mind, I'm seeing other things in my life that aren't right and that I need to work on pronto. This forum is really helpful for accountability, support, advice, tracking one's progress, etc, but also I think for clarifying one's thoughts and taking a moment each day to recognize one's achievement and remind yourself why it's important to quit this damaging, soul-crushing, brain-destroying habit/addiction.

So day 28!!!
