2 days. But 2 really good, high quality days.

10 days. I briefly lost my morning wood gains in the period after my 2nd drunk slip up when I started to make excuses and change the rules. It's returned the last few days, including this morning with rather a vengeance. Good to know the recent mistakes didn't completely undo the PIED improvements from what has overall been the best 4 or so months of anti-PMO progress I have ever made. But it's also clear how quicklyI can start to lose those improvements if I start using on any level.

It's not just my PIED that has improved, though. The 66 day and two 20ish day streaks of abstaining from PMO before I started lying to myself and moving the goalposts also broke the habit of use that supported my addiction. Ie., I got to where on a day to day basis I didn't really feel an urge to use, and even my dreaded issue of waking up in the middle of the night and using when half asleep mostly went away. When I started shifting the goalposts though, some of those habits and daily urges started to return. But within a few days of deciding to go all in again, they are gone.

Where I haven't done so well is in some of my "supporting" habits, like having a consistent morning routine and reading instead of watching YouTube or Netflix. Some of that has been because work has been busy and stressful and I feel tired in the morning and drained in the evening...but these are just excuses again. I've stopped making excuses on PMO. Time to stop making excuses on these too.
