Thank you, @First_step_thousand_miles. It's great to hear from you. One goal would be to keep my head out of my ass and stay clean this entire next year. Deep down I know I can so it's just a matter of sticking to my principles and staying on target. I'll have to think more about whatever else comes to mind. If anything, I've never been a big New Year's resolution type of guy, because like Atomic Habits says, incremental changes is where it's at, and New Year's resolutions are more about big sudden changes which often only lead to disappointment in the end. If anything, I've been realizing over the last few weeks I've lost sight of some of those insights from Atomic Habits where I've forgot to focus on the here and now with my progress in each of my goals, which has led me to become overly stressed out about this and that in my life. So, my New Year's goal will be to not get caught up in long term goals but only make sure my daily habits are on target.7 more days brother! What's the new year resolutions / goals you've got? Would love to hear it, 2025 is gonna be a great year for the Blondie!
Thank you for this, @GBS. This was one of the sweetest things I've ever read on here. It was just what I needed to read this morning. I really appreciate it and I hope your holidays are going swimmingly. Before you get to your year of abstinence, I want to make sure everyone understands your record because it’s the real you. You did 705 days of abstinence by September 2023 then a short relapse, then 80 days until very early January this year, and now basically a year clear from there. Do the math, that’s roughly 3 years and 3 months with two relapses. That’s what we’re looking at here. You inspire me to greater things.
Keep going, mate.
Day 359

Love you, bud. I hope you're holidays are going fantastically!

Keep inspiring all of us.
Hey, @First_step_thousand_miles, that's a good idea about using New Years as a checkpoint for your goals and not looking at it in the traditional sense of the term. I will be thinking more about this today and how I might use this. That's awesome to hear man. I agree that New Years resolutions are a waste in the traditional sense, I look at them as merely a checkpoint for goals I already started earlier (maybe in Aug of June or March or whatever) and take stock again. It's another natural point to re-tweak goals, but if that's the only time you're setting goals then you are doing it wrong
Good to hear you are doing well man. Love you too and hope you are getting some nice R&R!
GZ on 1 year brother. I remember reading your post exactly 1 year ago like it was yesterdy. A changed man you are now 1 year later. Keep killing itDay 364
It's really crazy to believe I'm standing right upon the threshold of a year now. With my propensity for blowing it at times like this, I feel as if I should command my Lady to tie me to the mast to keep mine eyes off the sirens, like Odysseus to his men. However, I'm feeling pretty damn clean at the moment and quite calm too, so those types of evasive measures I'll refrain from for the time being.
O that I might see my Penelope again!
You all have a great porn-free day
Damn you're right. Looks like I'll have to party for two days then. You’ve got this mate. By my calculation, as 2024 was a leap year, you need to get to 366…..but maybe we’ll let you off.
Hero. Porn, by the way, is not an option.
Thank you, @swimmer97. It feels great to be here.GZ on 1 year brother. I remember reading your post exactly 1 year ago like it was yesterdy. A changed man you are now 1 year later. Keep killing it

Thank you, @Phineas 808, that means a lot. I hope your new year is going swimmingly!Well done, Blondie on the longevity and the milestone!
Wishing you continued healing and prosperity in the new year!
Thank you, @Escapeandnevercomeback. If my "achievement" means anything, it means what we've all done once before we can do again. So much of this is a mental game it's good to remind yourself of that. This is absolutely amazing brother. Outstanding achievement. A trophy of dedication and resilience man. Very inspirational for me. It's things like this that make me not want to quit.
Yes, definitely.Thank you, @Escapeandnevercomeback. If my "achievement" means anything, it means what we've all done once before we can do again. So much of this is a mental game it's good to remind yourself of that.
Best!
