Day 447

As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. - Proverbs 27:17

I was thinking about this verse today and it made me think about RN and all the encouragement this place offers. Furthermore, how each of us here strengthen each other by giving advice, and pushing each to grow and go further in their journey.

Although we might fall here and there, together we are getting better and better, and sharper and sharper.

You all have a great porn-free weekend.

Just a few days away from fifteen months!

Hey @Supreme 47.

When you say "manhood" do you mean my dick or my masculinity? Either way, in both cases a resounding yes. One works almost 100% every time we have sex, with only a few short flatlines scattered about here and there (a few days at most). Furthermore, my masculine spirit is stronger than ever and I'm making love to life now instead of my hand.

Life is better in everyway on this side of the fence.

Best to you.

15 months! FIFTEEN MONTHS!!!

I have a special word for you that we Brits seldom use. The word is ā€œawesomeā€. I am in awe of you and also (in a non patronising way) extremely proud of you. This isnā€™t a joke. This is life change and I am glad to have witnessed a large chunk of it.

Fondest regards, GBS

"What is the use of running when we are not on the right road?" ā€“German proverb

When we enter recovery, there can be an urge to fix everything right away. However, recovery takes patience and time. We have spent most of our life acquiring our addiction. Replacing our addictive thoughts and actions with healthy ones can take a long time. Recovery requires that we understand our patterns, develop and practice the tools of sobriety, and open ourselves to deep healing and balance. Until we get ourselves on track, ā€œrunningā€ feels good but gets us nowhere. Have I spent time finding the road or running blindly? What does running on the wrong road look and feel like? What gifts await me as I patiently find the road of recovery before I start to run?
