Good job on going hard- monk mode, Ezel! You're doing it, and staying humble! I like that you pushed through the earlier temptations.

I'm not talking about making excuses, but always be merciful to yourself even if you reacted in (natural) ways toward the opposite sex. It's just hope that you will be married one day, and you'll get to express your natural desires. Right now, you're saving yourself for that one- and for That One ;) !

I'm with you, and believe in you, brother!

How's your new job going?
good actually, thanks for asking blondie. it's the reason I don't journal a lot like I used to, I would just write how many days I'm at and check how the community is doing and leave...
sending love and keep pushing my man.
Good job, Ezel! Congrats on 49 - 50 days! You're finding the 'secret sauce' to change your life!
thanks Phineas, glad to see you around. i hope you are doing well my brother.

Day 51, no po, no mo (monk mode).

things are starting to be tougher and more challenging, god help me.

Found an inspiring Islamic poem where I find most of my questions are already answered by Allah SWT in the Quran. This beautiful poem will make you feel better after reading again and again! Take a look:

Oh Allah ! I told You I’m in pain
You said: “do not despair of the mercy of Allah.”
(Quran 39:53)

I told You nobody knows what is in my heart
You said: “Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.”
(Quran 13:28)

I told You many people hurt me
You said: “So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them”
(Quran 3:159)

I told You I feel I’m alone
You said: “We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein.”
(Quran 50:16)

I told You my sins are so many
You said: “and who can forgive sins except Allah?”
(Quran 3:135)

I told You do not leave me
You said: “So remember Me; I will remember you.”
(Quran 2:152)

I told You I’m facing a lot of difficulties in life
You said: “And whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out.”
(Quran 65:2)

I told You oh Lord ! I need hope
You said: “Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.”
(Quran 94:6)

I told You I have many dreams
You said: “Call upon Me; I will respond to you.”
(Quran 40:60)

I told You to give me just little but for sure, Oh my Rabb! You Are The Best, you gave me everything. Alhamdulillah. And Now May I, Oh Allah, be among those who have succeeded.. Allahumma Ameen!

peace.

Ezel.

Great stuff, good job on making it to 50 days!

I think it's great that you can draw strength and inspiration from this. Take it one day at a time, always give it everything you've got to make it to tomorrow.

God always has an answer for us, Ezel, wherever- however we're hurting. Wherever we turn, as the Sufi's remind us, there is the face of Allah!

And that He is closer to us than the jugular vein, indeed.

Blessings, brother! 🙏 ❗
