Finally, I'm doing this…

It takes time to retrain your brain, Ezel. Be patient and compassionate with yourself. If the All Merciful can be compassionate on us, who are we to beat ourselves up?

Dust off, and go for it. Every streak, no matter how lengthy or not, is an exercise in retraining our brain to live without our false-crutches.

Be blessed, brother!

You got this champ. You're still here. You're still fighting. That's all that matters.

I know having gone through this recently again, that the closer you are the harder it is at first. It's been a year ago this week that I blew my big streak, and after that, I blew it off and on again for a month, then of course, blew it again on new years. You just have to push through those first couple of weeks/month and the journey does get easier. Trust me.

Pray, fast, and try to rethink whatever things you might do that makes the temptation even worse at the beginning., and, set off from there. And as @Phineas 808 said, be merciful with yourself. Think of the man you and want to be, and focus on that and NOT the guy who slips once in a while.

You da man! I fasted once for five days for religious reasons and I can definitely relate to this. I remember how my priorities changed in doing it, because all you can think about is "When is the next meal?" There's nothing about "What nonsense can I do for myself when I'm starving!"

It's a peaceful chaos that's for sure.

Keep it up, friend.

Best
