20 Something Reboot

Wow those are some crazy impressive stats! What numbers did you start out at when you first started the reboot on those 3 lifts? Great shit my dude

If you are feeling like you are plateu-ing and your body is too strained, take a week off and do light cardio (walking, biking, etc) -- once you get back after that 1 week you may very well be stronger on those lifts. Just my experience back when I lifted more frequently

Proud of you my man, you truly are the British Ted Lasso!
Thank you bro! When I first started the gym my bench was 40kg, my squat was 60kg and my deadlift was 100kg
Hopefully the deload will work! Definitely going to up the cardio now, regular jogging is going to help me so much!
Big love brother

@SmokenMirrors you're killing it brother. Congrats on the two days of meditation. I'm with you on that, meditation is not an easy routine to get going. It's amazing what the mind will randomly think up in a few minutes isn't? The last few days I've been getting back into my stretching/yoga routine again in a somewhat meditative way, and it's been real good for me. I'm still working out, but with finals the last couple of weeks, that has not been my greatest value.

I'm beginning to feel unsatisfied with my life. Why? I have no idea, but I intend to find out.
This is good, unsatisfaction will get you to ask all the right questions, which it looks like you're doing. I hear what you're saying with this one. Over the last couple of years I've been achieving some great personal dreams/goals, getting off porn being one of them, however, over the last six months I've been feeling pretty blahh about quite a few things in my life, which has led me down the road of self-reflection. One of the worst parts about porn use is that we use it to dodge fixing things in our life, or even trying to think about it, at least for myself that was the case. However, with the mind being free from all that filth, I've had the ability to see things as they really are, both the good and the bad, which is just how it should be.
@Blondie and @First_step_thousand_miles progress
Sorry this had to happen. If you need to visualize, I'm tall and sexy!
Read more self improvement/masculinity books (recommendations would be highly appreciated. I'm thinking of The Way of the Superior Man and How to Win Friends and Influence People to begin with)
I think you would love both of those books. The first being one of the better masculinity books I've ever read, that the latter just a classic in self-development reading.
I also feel like I'm not eating enough calories to bulk effectively.
Same here, this is actually one of the reasons I started eating like a pig months ago, at least initially. At that time, I was slowing down in my gains of muscle or getting stronger, thus, I thought I'd start doing a semi-dirty bulk. Unfortunately, I was alreadly at a weight where I needed to lose weight (fat%) and eat less, thus, my current predicament. Lessons learned though, I'm going to lose this extra fat while trying to keep what I've gained, and then I'll figure out ways to keep going forward and gain muscle and strength. You live and learn.
Bench - 85kg 5 x 6 (187 lbs)
Squat - 130kg 3 x 6 (286 lbs)
Deadlift - 150kg 2 x 5 (330 lbs)
Nice job Smoken!

Keep killing it brother

It's scary how much modern living has castrated your focus! Porn, social media, TikTok combined with the fast pace of our contemporary lifestyles has led to us not being able to focus for more than 7 seconds!

It's been amazing to see you grow in the time I've been here. So true about the using porn to dodge our responsibilities, it's the most uncomfortable comfort blanket we've ever seen!

I imagine you're tall, sexy, and look EXACTLY like Clint Eastwood, can't imagine why

I'll definitely give both books a read! Are there any others you'd recommend?

Search up Maingaining, it might be beneficial to you!

Meditation Journal:
Was a tough one again, but I got the hat trick gentlemen! My thoughts were:
A customer car at work
The birds tweeting outside (it is 10pm here, that's an insane time for birds!)
Sex with my ex girlfriend - luckily I nipped that in the bud quickly
Gym progress

Not as much today but still had a lot of white noise (my term for intangible thoughts), it was hard to push through but I will get better!
Day 3 meditation
Day 62 no MO
Day 461 no porn

Hey @SmokenMirrors, yes, modern living has definitely castrated us! I'm still working on my attention span though, but I don't think my porn use was always the culprit with that, I was this way to some extent before.

Yo Smokey, sorry I haven’t dipped in here often enough. Just want to say you’re a huge inspiration. Reading your string if I ever get the slightest urge, is enough reason alone to carry on.

Can I ask a question? Your no MO streak is impressive, do you get nocturnal emissions (aka wet dreams) or is your streak a total no ejaculation one?
Keep going.

No need to apologise king! You're focusing on your own reboot! I'm very much glad I can help

I have wet dreams every now and then but not often. They were much more frequent in my first 120 days, I had them about 3-4 times a week back then and I have them once a month (if that) now

I think the vid you posted is a powerful message even without the "devil" factor. That is, perhaps humans invented a "devil" because it's so difficult to believe our mammalian instincts can pull our strings so powerfully. It's comforting to blame our poor judgment on Someone Else.;) It may seem that only an external malevolent force could jerk us around to such an extent. But I suspect we're doing it to ourselves.

All that said, you might like this vid, SmokenMirrors:
. It's clear he loves women (and hasn't turned "sour" as some celibates do). Good to hear the benefits since he stopped using "corn" ~1.5 years ago...and opted to give up MO for months.

I love this guy! He's like a surfer bro version of Jason Momoa
Very wise words in this video, this is a man who sets goals and promises to himself and sticks with them!

So I saw some old friends yesterday (from high school, way before I rebooted) and we were chatting about dating and women etc. I mentioned that I haven't watched porn in over a year and one friend was BEWILDERED :ROFLMAO: he said 'YOU haven't watched porn in over a year? YOU?':ROFLMAO:

I think he still doesnt believe me hahaha!

Keep on fighting the good fight kings

Very pleased, I'll be squatting 3 plates/140kg/310 pounds next session! Been building up to this since I started training, a huge milestone!

Meditation was interesting, less white noise and I unlocked a memory from my childhood - have there been any studies that link meditation with discovering forgotten memories?

Definitely feeling happier recently. Next stage of improvement is reading more and sleeping better

Keep on fighting the good fight kings

Day 9 meditation
Day 8 cold shower
Day 68 no MO
Day 468 no porn

Double figure meditation streak baby!
Meditation was okay today, better than most of the last week but still room for improvement. In time!
Went for an amazing walk on the evening and took in the dusky sun, I love that switchover from day to night in Summer where the sun casts an orange glow across the land
Got another customer coming in for some work tomorrow, awesome!

Stay hard

Day 10 meditation
Day 9 cold shower
Day 69 no MO (nice)
Day 469 no porn
