I forget how I discovered Your Brain On Porn, but like many other guys, it was a game-changer for me. No longer was I thinking "man, I have a problem, don't know what to do about it" but "oh my god, now I understand my problem, and why, and what happened, and what I must do". Knowledge is power, and between Gary's book and this forum, I feel a lot more powerful to fight and conquer my addiction.

I can't remember myself where I discovered it, but I do remember it being about 10 years ago; I have read through it many times since. Gary's book changed my life and helped me push through the hard times knowing there would be a light at the end of tunnel. Thank you Gary for all your hard work and efforts in shinning light on this modern drug.

Rest in peace.

Today. Gary showed us the way out. Before him I thought I had a problem with porn. After him, I knew I had to have a long and difficult conversation with my brain. Anyone here thinks they are addicted to porn....you are not. You are addicted to addiction. Take a moment to know yourself. It's not so bad. The problem is small once you understand the problem. Remember that. Small problems require small fixes. Don't let this be an epic problem, because then the problem tries to tell you why it cannot be fixed. Don't let the addiction reason with you. It lies.

Gary's work completely turned my life around, literally a night & day difference. No work has been more influential or life-changing to me than YBOP (the book, presentation and website). I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing (and at such a relatively young age, too!)
