Day 42 - GBS, kinda weird. Sex drive seems all but gone most days. I don’t have great urges. Just kinda flat. It’s around 330 am so I’m having trouble sleeping. It’s really hard with my wife gone til 730 each evening and then she falls asleep on couch at.8. I need.a major win or boost of positivity to help change my current mindset. But, hey - porn would do NOTHING to help. Only masks. and exacerbates problems.

I promise, I’m actually a pretty fun person :)

As strange as this sounds, your low libido and flat feelings are actually very encouraging. Your brain is changing big time, which means you are doing the right things. The brain is a thing, but we see our arms and legs and body being hurt and we recognise when we pull a calf muscle that it will heal. We’re not surprised that it takes a while to heal, but we know it will. We have no experience with our brain being damaged and what we have to to heal it. The recovery of the brain means fucked up messages going (or not going) to the rest of your body (including your dick of course) and you get to experience the healing through all the weird shit rather than noticing your improving calf or a scab growing on a cut. So you should rejoice however uncomfortable it is and however worried you may be.

Don’t stop healing i.e. Don’t watch porn and (ideally) don’t masturbate. You are a hero. Enjoy this frustrating and liberating ride.

Thanks GBS. I appreciate the encouragement. Honestly, I think I should avoid posting when I wake up around 3:00. My mind only goes there when I’m struggling to sleep. Feeling 100% that I’m on the right course. Kind of amazing how porn was just an accepted part of my life. I’m missing nothing.

Day 46 - gotta stay vigilant. Find myself scrolling instagram more lately. Combo of soccer, funny shit, shit I just won’t ever understand, and hot chicks. I think I’m in it for the hot chicks…they’re like porn stars who never quite hit rock bottom (or just don’t realize it). No porn or Instagram today. In fact, I’m deleting the app right now.
