So the 1st 2 weeks I had such intense psychosomatic symptoms I couldn't even function.. I'm almost a full month into no PMO. The symptoms are still there but nowhere near as intense. Obviously this is minimal progress. Anyone dealing with the same situation and if you have what can I look forward to or not look forward to do? Thanks hope everyone is doing well.

You can expect all sorts of symptoms because porn affects many things in the brain like the dopamine system, dopamine receptors etc. But you gave yourself the answer: "The symptoms are still there but nowhere near as intense." That's right, the rebooting will fix it, time will fix it, you need to continue to stay away from PMO. It might take some time, it might seem small but it's working. One day at a time.

Thanks brother I really appreciate it. Another question. I'm starting to not ogle women like I used to. A lot of it is because I listen to what Gabe deem said In that avoid as many triggers as possible. But It seems like I'm losing my sex drive a little bit. This is all pretty new to me so I'm kinda wondering where I'm at with this .a lot of it too is I'm trying to rush everything but now I'm getting to the point where I'm giving in and just Riding this daily shit storm. I've heard about flatlining but I wonder if this is the start of it.

It could be. But don't worry about it. Just stick to the rebooting and have patience. Rebooting is the only thing that stops all the bullshit.

@Crackers1 - if I said don’t worry about what seem to be side effects, you’d say “come on, man, this is freaking me out”. It does freak you out. I will say this - the changes you are making to your brain are huge. I watched porn for nigh on 40 years with a few breaks, and the ruts in my brain were deep. As you come into rehab you get everything from extreme libido to total asexual feelings. I can recall at one point thinking I wouldn’t get an erection if I watched a porn scene with my favourite actress in my living room. Flatlines can go on for a while. This may not help but what you are going through is totally normal. Up to a point you should be happy when it feels weird because it means you’re changing.

Cliche alert: no pain no gain.
