Journey to Quit Porn

"Never stop trying to quit" is a good strategy for people to stop smoking (another bad habit I overcame many years ago) and I think it would apply here as well for all of us fighting these PMO demons.

I made progress over 8 days of no fap than slipped up last night and relapsed. So on Day 1 again. I will take what I learned and apply that forward. One thing is to focus on my positive habits like writing and exercise.

Relapse happens to the best of us. Just gotta remember 3 things
1. If it were to happen again, make sure it's a conscientious choice, and not a complusive one.
2. Make sure to lengthen the gaps between lapses
3. Whenever temptation knocks on your door, think of it as a drug dealer, and say "No thank you". It'll usually leave within 15 mins if you go and involve yourself in something else interesting.

Cheers!

On day 3. Been working and also bought a book called Willpower instinct to see if there are some useful tools I can use in it.

Don't be too hard on yourself, @FloridaWriter! When you say "back to day 1 of no fap" I don't think it is strictly day 1. Reflect on your past experiences, learn from then and see them as a foundation on what to build a long lasting streak.
It's difficult to get things right at the first attempt, but don't give up and keep on fighting!
Stay strong!

Relapsed on Day 8 last day of January after long 12 hour day at work. I’m going to focus on the habits that built my no fap steak and let go of bad habits. Disappointed in myself.
