Day 10

I have noticed that I am handling stress and anxiety a lot better lately. Mostly by not allowing it to get overwhelming. I pretty much tell myself “what good does it do to have all this worry and stress?” When I notice myself getting tense I take a big inhale through my nose and let the exhale out slowly through my mouth and it is working well for me.

Urges have been at bay. Pmo just seems like a waste of time and energy right now.

hope you all are kickin ass this week

Day 14

I passed a young boy riding a tricycle earlier this week at work. He looked up at me with a big smile on his face and waved and said Hi! I wouldn’t have appreciated this moment as much in the past and maybe would have felt a sense of shame and would have ignored him. But I was able to feel the same positive energy this boy was feeling and reciprocated with a big smile and a wave. Seems mundane but that was one of the highlights of my week.

Not mundane at all! Love it. I've found the same sort of thing happens to me now and then these days. Losing that intrinsic sense of shame and self consciousness makes us so much more open to little forms of connection.

It frustrates me that sexology researchers want to convince porn users that their shame comes from feelings about porn, when, IMO, it comes from knowing, deep down, that they aren't expressing their true potential, or that they aren't yet in control of themselves.

When researchers ask the wrong questions it's "garbage in garbage out". Followed by a lot of misleading press that furthers the industry's preferred narrative.

Congrats to you all!

Day 15

It was more of a lazy weekend for me which is alright because I feel like my body needed it. I also splurged last night and had a few margaritas with the wife. Stress is a little high today thinking about the upcoming week so I plan to take a cold shower and meditate for a bit.
