It better to mark days without PMO or mark days with PMO?

Read somewhere that its better to avoid mark days without PMO since that reminds us of porn.
Isn't it better if we mark days without PMO since we see how long we have resisted and it makes us stronger to keep going? I mean not break the streak..

Not sure this belongs in the journals forum.

That said, I think it works differently for different people. To some it helps mentally as it's a source of pride to have made it that long. Some substance abuse treatment providers make a point of not only pointing out how long the person has been sober, but in some instances provides some form of reward or token of reaching that point. This can be a source of pride for the subject, and gives others something to aspire to.

For others, no boost is needed. They will succeed or not with or without counting.
