Hey guys and/or girls.
Would just like to share a quick tip for you people who have a hard time when you are infront of the PC.
You should download the free filtering program K9 Web Protection.
It has a password system, and below I will share a few ways to not hack or recover the password.
1. Create a new email account on your favorite email service.
2. Use this new account to register K9 with.
3. Install and configure K9.
4. Create a random password for your mail that you wont remember, just copy/paste some random letters and numbers from a notepad doc.
5. Create an equally random password for your K9 account.
6. Done! now you cant recover your password through email, and you cant log in to change the settings. You cant uninstall the program either, because you need to type in the password to be able to.
Important pointers
. You will get a download link to your email, so dont use the random password for starters, only when you have installed and configured K9.
. Only create the random password for K9 after you have configured it. When installing, use a password you remember, so you can log on and configure the filtering.
. Same thing with the email recover, choose a random password for your secret question for recovering.
- MOST IMPORTANT -
Remember to double check your settings and the sites/categories you want to block, because after you change the password and quit. There is no way of changing it without removing the program. Which you cant...
