Social Anxiety

Ever since NoFap my social anxiety has decreased and confidence has increased. why? I used to feel disgusted in myself after PMO. If i'm disgusted in myself of course subconsciously I will think everybody else will be too. I now realise how bad I was and am on the track to normality.

Check out YBOP. It explains everything. Your decline in D2 dopamine receptor levels means you're desensitized and the decline in these receptors is correlated with anxiety. I'd stop PMO now. Although it's never too late, today is 1 million times better than tomorrow. Don't justify your PMO use. No more, ''I'll quit tommorow'' or '' 1 more wont hurt'' that 1 will add up and up and up. Check out supersonics success story. This could easily be your story in the future. You just don't know it.  http://legacy.rebootnation.org/index.php?topic=282.0
Good luck. Have a good one.

That's great man! I think the decrease in anxiety is a combination of mental physiological improvements that happen after quitting porn. Not only do we spend more time away from pornography and living the real world (potentially decreasing our guilt over our habits and exposing to "real life"), but pornography addiction also has a slew of physiological effects that can damage our brains. Downregulation of dopamine in tandem with changes to the sexual part of our brain, the hypothalamus, are also like a major component of anxiety, brain fog, and depression during the course of our addiction and the earlier stages of the reboot. Quitting rebalances the brain and makes us feel that much better  8)

Glad you're doing better man! Keep it going - you can only improve from here on out!

Cheers! I'm 2 months free of PMO. At first when I discovered these sites I said to myself I'll go one week without PMO and see what happens. Then I came to the realisation I can never look at porn again, which I have accepted. Here I am now!
