I experience a high when I masturbate to porn or have affairs when it is kept secret from my wife.  I also experience a special rush when I think I am going to be caught.  It seems there is a rush of chemicals to my brain when I am getting by with something.  Do any of you make secrecy a part of your sex addiction actions?

What do you mean "make secrecy a part of your sex addiction actions?". Most of the time all porn use is relatively secretive anyway and the high comes from the novelty of it

Porn addiction =/= Sex addiction

I'm sure you're able to identify that this IS a problem for your relationship. A big step in over coming is sharing, especially with those who it concerns. Ie. your wife

Thanks for your answer.  If we accept the 'novelty' of porn as a way to stimulate the brain chemicals to reach a high, we should know what stimulates us. I find I need new porn images or new stories about my porn images to feed the addiction. As you say, novelty is always seeking something new or even more graphic.  You are right that porn use is usually done in secret. I wonder why that is.  If we could do it anytime and anywhere, would it be the same experience?
