A terabyte of porn deleted last week.

Hello everyone.

Today, I am writing to announce something that I thought I would never do.

I gave up porn a while ago (quite a few months), however I still kept the files on a 1 terabyte drive. I didn't see them, but I had them there, I don't know why, but for me it was like a treasure.

On Friday, July 15 of this year, 2022, I decided to delete all the terabytes of porn that I had as a collection. What a tremendous decision it has been.

This has been quite difficult (I mean erasing the terabyte), but I finally did it.

I plan to do a new "reboot" (although I hate the word), because, I consider that despite having left porn, I was "cheating" all this time by having the "intention" to keep the saved files. So I'm going to use this thread as my reboot journal thread.

Now that I've wiped my terabyte, I really think I feel ready to make a real change. I will not count the days, because that is something that makes no sense. But, I will mark my process in months. Marking the process in months is something very different than marking them by "days".

So, I'll update here again on August 15th.

Congratulations! It's remarkably hard to cut everything off, even when you know you don't need it or want it again and that there is absolutely no need to keep it around any more. It's not rational, but there it is. Good for you for deleting it (and you emptied the trash/other kinds of backups, right?).

(and you emptied the trash/other kinds of backups, right?).

I deleted everything my friend. Not a trace was left, nothing at all. Thousands of videos and photos were deleted just by clicking on: SHIFT AND DELETE.

He still had it. And a long time ago.

I remember when I was 25 years old. At that time, viewing pornography was part of private life entertainment. Something that was considered normal.

In my 30s, she began to intrude on my personal sex life to her detriment. And my sex life became 90% PMO, and only 10% was sex with women.

Finally, in my late 30s, porn became so toxic!

Many times I tried to quit.

At this point in my life I am 40 years old. I haven't been with a real woman for 3 years, and a few days ago I deleted my entire porn collection.

@Oscar40 super proud of you. It's not just files. There are emotional attachment too. I know it's not easy that's why I gotta say again, good on you! But after deletion, what a breath of fresh air! No more burden! No more attachment! So liberating! Hooray!
