Hi Marcus Secret. I recently split from my wife so have been dating a lot to make up for 25 years with one partner. This hasn't been easy with PIED but fun trying. After the embarrassment of failing in bed I get talking to them and each has said there are quite a few men with ED, men just don't talk about it. Not sure how many are PMO related but there are a few around. I've also been seeing a sex therapist and she is seeing more and more men come in with PIED.

This forum is quite small but there's a lot of other forums around, some of which are much larger. Check out http://www.yourbrainrebalanced.com/. It is a bigger community.

I agree with Beachy, my belief is a lot of men suffer from PIED, what does that mean exactly? "Erectile dysfunction affects almost all men at one time or another in their lives. It affects as many as 30 million American men, including 30 to 50 percent of men between the ages of 40 and 70" according to Johns Hopkins Medicine. That doesn't answer your question about PIED, but leads me to believe millions of young americans suffer from ED and unless you have physical problems, 95% of the time its either anxiety or PIED.

There are only a few guys in the world who have gone public with their stories and most are moderators on this site. This is a silent epidemic. Most guys aren't going to just come right out and say their penis isn't working... unless you tell them first that yours isn't and then they relate and feel comfortable telling you.

I've talked to everyone I know in real life about porn causing my ED and I've had several of my group of friends admit to me right after I finish telling them all about what happened to me that similar things have happened to them. A few of my good friends growing up had porn-induced ED or delayed ejaculation. There are many experts who now publicly talk about this being a growing problem. Check out this list of media coverage with experts - http://yourbrainonporn.com/porn-induced-ed-media

First off, PIED is a very touchy subject because it covers two things that are embarrassing to talk about; ED and abuse of porn. Men aren't going to come right out and say, "I had trouble getting erections with women because I was masturbating to porn way too much!" It's just awkward and is something that you usually keep amongst yourself and very close friends who you trust (or with a therapist/doctor.)

This is a relatively new problem that is being discovered slowly with time, so don't feel like it's not real just because it's unknown. Remember, common knowledge is not so common. And lastly, many of the guys (especially younger guys) who have this problem are not being proactive about it. They'd rather just sit at home and jerk it then actually go out and try to hook up with real girls. I remember, even I took several years of bad sexual experiences to admit that I really did have a problem. Think about the situation guys are in when they're 30, and have never kissed a girl before. How would they know they have ED?

I can only hope that at some point some group or organization can reach out to the youth and explain to them what can happen.  First tough finding someone who would pop right up on stage and give the kids thier personal experience - but I also wonder just how many high schools would be comfortable allowing some guy address the student population about masterbation and high speed streaming porn.

I was at a comedy event last weekend - and the comedian was ragging on some dad whose 16 year old was sitting next to him.  the comedian was asking the father if he realized that his son had access to high speed porn 24/7 with his phone - right there anywhere.  I wanted to stand up and scream - yeah dad - do you understand that your son has unlimited access to that shit 24/7??  You had better have a talk with him soon.

It is scary - we are potentially losing an entire generation of kids here.  Look at the gender breakdowns at the major universities in the US - How many are 51% or more female?  Does this have anything to do with guys home, in the dark alone with the internet?  It may shock you to see what age demographic has the highest use of viagra and cialis - it aint senior citizens.

very scary.

Reboot Nation is doing exactly that. I've spoken at several schools and several youth groups, sharing my story of porn-induced ED and all the other possible negative effects of porn use... and now Fugu, and Spangler are joining me in public speaking on PIED wherever we can in the future. You're right in that it's difficult to get into schools as they don't know how to deal with all the political/moral things surrounding the issue and how to make everyone happy. It's a touchy topic..... literally.

We will have a presentation that can be given to all audiences as it sticks to the neuroscience and sexual conditioning.

Our goal and hope is for one day this to be common knowledge. I will do what I can to make that a reality.

Thanks alot for your reactions guys. I reslly agree with the fact that alot of cases are not being tslked about but even more people dont even know it yet. The guys that unfortunately.are so hooked to porn they dont even try to.meet girls... definitely a porblem for the future

I am sure there are medical reasons for drugs like viagra, but I think a lt of ED is caused by to much PMO. Older guys like me would be wise to limit ejaculation no more than once a week according to whats written in Chineese medicine.  I  also must admit as an older man with an older lady as a partner, looking at the hard body chicks doing all the acrobatics during sex , then having normal sex with someone not as hot will be a hard on killer.
I found not JO, has made me more horny when I do haves ex, no drugs needed.
