Dreams

Hello to all!
I'm on week 5 in my reboot. Today I had  a dream about me PMOing, a dream that was so realistic that when I woke up I was absolutely sure that I broke my reboot. It realy aroused the same material I used to watch on the same chair with the exact same M habits. It took me some time to understand that it was just a dream and relax. This is just one of the dreams I had in the last few weeks after the reboot began, most of them are not erotic. It's unusual to me because ever since I remember myself (same as the time I started PM) I had only several dreams a year. I feel that this reboot is starting to return my brain to normal, becoming more real. Did anyone also experience this change?

I also have had a lot of sexual dreams since starting. In my mind I think that my brain is trying to get its fix and is nudging you to remember the "good" times.

I just keep reminding myself how I felt afterward. Like I was a worthless human...

Keep up the fight. We are worth more than porn.

Man, I'm only on day 4 of my first reboot, but last night I awoke to realize I'd been dreaming about sex. I was basically playing a part in some porn I'd seen. It was strange to me. So you're not alone dude.

Yeah, more frequent dreams (sex dreams included) seem to be really common for rebooters. Don't be freaked! All successful rebooters have gone through something like this.

Watch Gabe Deem's great video on dream related things during reboots! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=092UH6e0BWA

I heard about this effect quite often now. People seem to be worried about what and how they dream.
Relax, bro, you can't control your dreams. It's worthless wrack your brains over that issue. Your subconsciousness deals with the situation. Maybe it's a substitute for what you are denying to give at the moment. Let it play its childish tricks on you, you are not going to take the bait.

It was but a dream. It was not real. You did nothing wrong. You rather take it as a good sign. Something is happening beyond the world of consciousness. It starts affecting the other, more important parts of your brains as well.

I agree with Chaos. In fact, I think even sex dreams are a good sign: it shows your brain is reacting to the changes you've made and most important, it was NOT successful in getting what it wanted. You did not get up, go to the computer and start a hard core PMO session. That is what the brain wanted and it was denied so it's now going to have to start welcoming the alternatives to PMO--like real sex and attraction to a real life partner. So don't fear the dreams, welcome them. You are winning!

Yes, I had a wet dream, where I was dreaming about porn two weeks after I started my reboot. After that, I had no dreams related to porn anymore. I think it is part of our recovery.

Exactly! Science has not fully proven all the reasons for why we really dream. But they all conclude it helps us sort our thoughts. It's subconsciousness' tool for showing us something it considers very important. Dreams have an undeniable truth stuck to it. They go unfiltered and un-rationalized. If you want it: dreams are the raw material of our emotions. It could even be possible that a dream once told you, PMO was destroying your life. Like, you know it but you can't allow yourself thinking about it, because you are afraid of what comes along with it. Now you abandonned porn and inside you are craving. Basically the dream didn't show you anything new and you did the right thing ignoring it.
