Congrats !!

I'm in a similar situation. I'm 32, virgin and engaged but suffering from pied. I've been on no PMO for 130 days now. Did you have pied? How much time did it take you to heal? Any exercise?

Yes. I did have PIED and DE after that. PIED was gone in about two weeks of no dopamine overstimulation, but then I found I couldn't ejaculate. That's still a bit of a problem. I can ejaculate, but it's not easy for me. It's getting better, though.

The only exercise I did was climbing ;) Nothing about PIED, besides letting your brain rest. That includes worrying about PIED and cure dates. I truly believe that one of the things that helped me progress was that I was in as long as needed. When I was feeling anxious for months, I was truly commited to suffer for some more months, if that meant getting, at last, my freedom. So, if you're counting or anxious about PIED, don't be. Focus on therapy: finding replacing activities, communicating about your problems, building a support network, trying new hobbies (puzzles are great to prevent your mind from drifting), exercising (endorphines!), etc.

The rest will come :)

The strategies that I used to stop thinking about porn are really simple. You need something that is harmless and is able to focus your attention.

If you're at home, doing a jigsaw puzzle is great. It really can absorb your attention, and it can't be completed in a day, so you'll train yourself to delay rewards.

If you're not, counting backwards is great. Start at 1000 and go for as long as needed. If that becomes easy, try counting backwards each 3 (1000, 997, 994, ...) or 7 or whatever.

Above all, the best tool to stop thinking about porn is calling someone and talking about it. But you need someone you can trust to talk about this.

In any case, never, and I strongly mean NEVER, try to fight the thoughts directly. I mean never start thinking "I don't want to watch porn" or "I'm not thinking about porn anymore!! stop, you brain!!" That's the pink elephant scenario.
