Still struggling - two years down the line

Thanks for all the comments.  This is about balance and what I'm suggesting is if your reboot has taken longer than a year it won't do you any harm to look at other excessive activities you might be partaking in.

I fully embrace the fact that constant dopamine hits whilst PMO led me to the point I couldn't get turned on by a woman and my sex drive was killed.  I'm only suggesting people look at other excessive (key word - excessive!) activities like smartphone use might be compounding the problem based on the fact that the excessive 'reward' that can be delivered by likes, notifications and replies maybe hitting your dopamine receptors in the same way PMO does.

With respect, I don't need talking therapy.  I have a completely open relationship with my partner, no secrets and I've been talking to her about this for two years  (PMO issues started two months before we met) - Nothing any doctor can say to me is likely to change anything WITHOUT me addressing other behaviour disorders I am engaging in.

I am fully committed to turning around my smartphone use, just as I did my use of porn - maybe lets shelve this discussion for a while until I can report significant changes in wellbeing.

I'm starting a new post to drum up support and encourage others to come on this new porn free journey that also looks at how we are filling our idle time.

Watch out for it, coming in a few minutes!
