I just read a couple of interesting metaphors for addiction:
1. It is like licking honey off of the edge of a razor blade.
2. It is like drinking salt water to quench your thirst.
I'm finding these two images helpful in resisting my constant cravings.
Can you think of any other metaphors for addiction, beyond the usual "have a monkey on my back?"
