Has anyone who has passed through the danger zone (no PMO for 90 days or so) experimented with supplements such as horny goat weed? What was your experience?

I have passed through the danger zone multiple times.  By that I mean I am clean over a year.  Over a year, no relapses, no porn, no PMO, no MO.  I am not hard mode, I do have a wonderful woman in my life.  The question about supplements is really just your brain asking "is there an easy way out?"  I am sorry to tell you, there is only one way out, a very difficult--but doable--way, and that is to totally eliminate the stimulation of porn from your life experience.  That will lead to withdrawals if you are addicted.  I don't know if you are, but if you are here because you don't like how your porn consumption has effected your life--you probably are.  I am.  I was.  There is only one way to deal with withdrawals, and that is embrace them.  The are going to hurt, terribly, they are mental, physical, and emotional pain.  They are the opposite of pleasure.  Why do they happen?  They are your brain's reward center (which rewards with dopamine, which like any great drug feels great or pleasurable) coming back down to normal levels.  Horny goat weed is just a myth, that and someone trying to sell you something.

While I've read stories about stuff like horny goat weed helping people get aroused, I honestly believe it's best to avoid anything that will "help" you gain erections. Barring physical problems and no porn use, most of us are completely capable of getting erections easily on a daily basis. Rebooting will get you back to that point!

If you want some supplements, I'd recommend some that are more benefice for "life" health! For me personally: fish oil. It has a myriad of documented good effects on the body.

Horny goat weed will cause relapses. Trust me, I know firsthand. That goes for any herbal testosterone boosters. Now, if you have a girl who wants it and you don't feel you can perform, take it or deer antler or something similar, it'll work. But in my opinion, a recharge and rest period works deepest. If you want herbs and supplements to support that process, look at he shou wu and taking lots of calcium magnesium and zinc. He shou wu is the greatest recharger I've found. Cal/mag works to calm you down, relax you through the anxious withdrawal period and helps heal the adrenal glands which have been overstimulated from too much porn. Vitamin c complex helps this too. And zinc at night is awesome. I take ZMA which helps me sleep deep and prevents the porn withdrawal nightmares I went through the last time I did this. ZMA slowly builds your testosterone levels too. It's great stuff! Or at least it's all great for me!

I have used zinc, vitamin D, Ginkgo, magnesium, ginseng and garlic as supplements during the first two months of my reboot, based on random recommendations of doubious nature. I was as desperate about ED as the next guy. After two months, I stopped taking them, since my progress was slow and it didn't feel like they made much difference and they started to appear like a waste of money. I kept recovering at roughly the same rate as while taking them. In fact I made my most progress in months four to six, when I did not take any supplements as well.

Just get through the flatline, accept it as a phase in your life that will seperate your "old porn wanker self" from the "new you". It is a time to reflect on how much good porn ever brought to you, when you have to go through something like this when you stop it.
 
I think I'm going to try the ZMA to start with. It's just zinc and magnesium and a B vitamin, I think. I took it back when I was into weightlifting but I don't remember much about it. What i do know is we lose zinc every time we ejaculate, so it makes sense from that perspective. I didn't sleep much last night, horrible insomnia. If a nutrient my body needs anyway can help me sleep, I'm all for it.
