is porn only part of the problem?

So the last week or so I have been wondering is porn just a part of the problem and to truly heal and restore our dopamine receptors we need to quit or reduce other things. Last week I quit playing my playstation for 8 days and spent a few days without using the Internet would quitting or cutting down on these things and other sources of dopamine be beneficial and help heal faster?

It helps to quit all dopamine releasers (or as many as possible). At least untill our systems calm down a bit. Right after we quit, the system is hypersensitive. I've quit online poker, and reduced social media and youtube etc. a lot.

Anything containing images of hot women (if you're a straight male) is the worst in my experience. It's crazy how triggerish that stuff is.

On the other hand, some things that will help restore it faster are meditation, exercise and cold showers

first cut out the porn, that might be the biggest dopamine realese out of the other things you mentioned. in fact, indulging in a little playstation or youtube vidoes might help to curb the urges to fap to porn. overindulgence is bad, but overindulgence playng videogames or overindulgence slapping your cock to images on a screen are two very different things.
try a ten day challenge, no porn only and see how it goes
