Well, when I said beat this ?fully? I guess it wasn?t enough to stop be from perusing a porn site at 1am in the morning 4 days later. I am a porn addict, but I am determined to find a way. I am back here to say I have fallen short and I am goin to pick myself back up today and avoid a binge. My next steps to combating this is to read information on ?Your Brain on Porn?. I feel ashamed but that will not stop me from trying again.

Soon I will be trying to post a full story and also I plan to journal more in a notebook outside of these posts. Once again thanks for listening.... Day 1

Reading YBOP will really help you to understand your addiction and that will make you even more stronger to deal with it.

Good luck! I'm 7 weeks into quitting now, and it is hard work fighting the urge to log on.

I find leaving my phone/laptop downstairs at night helps. Is that possible for you?

Hey thanks for responding! Congrats on 7 weeks! I definitely could leave my electronics downstairs. I am going to start doing that. Thanks for the advice! Feel free to give me anymore, I am all ears. I need all the help I can get.

You need to find a replacement. I found putting filters and all those things are a good start. But when I began focusing on other things, like books, even watching a tv show or spking to friends it changed things a lot more and I didn't feel urges so much.

Also if you can get find a friend to talk to about these things it will help as well. When you talk out loud and someone is confirming what you are saying it provides some external positive reinforcment.
