Hey Oden,
These are all very tough questions to answer.
So first of all my first and only symptom was, that i could not get an erection at all, it did not matter wether with porn or without or for sex, also it did not matter if i was laying down or standing or whatever.
So as far as i understand your only symptom right now is, that your erection starts fading, when you are standing up.
That can still be a symptom of PIED as far as i know and read.
For example here gabe deem is describing his experience with regaining morning wood.
"First 3 months no morning wood at all
Months 4-9 were mixed with ocassional morning wood anywhere from 60% to 100% hard
Months 10 to 14 pretty consistent morning wood (about 3 days a week)100% hard.
Months 15 to present (18 months) regular morning wood 100% hard (4 or 5 days a week). There have been mornings I've laid in bed for hours with a boner that would not go down.
Also, when I first started getting morning wood it would go down as soon as I stood up, over the months it stayed longer and longer. Now I can walk around for a few minutes with a towel hanging on it."

If you are still unsure, you should maybe get yourself checked from a urologist, but i think the fact, that you can have a 100% erection pretty much rules out the possibility of venous leak.
For me i really dont know if the surgey was necessary. I mean of course it is possible, that i had venous leak and PIED additionally. All i know is, that it did not fix anything at that time.
So if i were you, i would try to rewire right now and see if your penis works with a partner. That should also help your whole recovery process. If you still have doubts, see a good doctor.
