Recovery

Hello everyone! I'm 17 years old. I am recovering from PIED.I apologize in advance for my English, I do not know it very well, since I am from Russia. I am a virgin, despite the fact that I had two attempts to have sex and all failed due to the fact that I did not feel aroused.Overall, I lead an active and prosperous social life. I work out in the gym, I do well at school, I have friends and girlfriends. And I'm happy with life. However, my sexual dysfunction ruins my life extremely, I think you guys understand me perfectly. At the moment, I have not masturbated or watched porn for 60 days. But I don't feel any sex drive. I have morning erections, but they are 20-30% maximum. In this thread, I will share with you my successes and thoughts on the reboot.I will turn 18 in 8 months. I really hope that I can recover by the 18th birthday. For the next 4 months I plan to concentrate on my studies and other important matters. And I hope that after this time (6 months) I will have positive changes in terms of libido, which will give me the motivation to start a relationship with a girl in order to rewire my brain. So there you go guys. I really hope that everything will work out for me. I wish you all good luck and success in the fight for your life!

By the way, friends, I want to tell you a story that happened to me at the age of 15. I hung out with friends and we drank alcohol. At the end of the party, I went to bed with my friend, who was as drunk as me. In general, we tried to have sex, but I didn't get up, however, we kissed and I touched her body. The next day I woke up with a wild boner and had a dream that we had sex with her. I have never felt such a boner and those sensations that I had for two days. Now I understand that I rearranged my brain in this way at that moment. But unfortunately, I still did not understand the true reasons for my ED in those years. I just jerked off to porn for two days because I didn't know I had PIED.After these two days, everything returned to normal and I did not feel such a powerful libido. What do you think, if my brain was able to reset itself after this attempt at having sex, it makes sense after a while to rest from any sex stimulation. Try it again, but in a relaxed atmosphere and with your girlfriend. Can the brain reboot itself again like it did two years ago?

Hey Max, Welcome to RN! Awesome that you are tackling this problem at such a young age.

I have not masturbated or watched porn for 60 days. But I don't feel any sex drive. I have morning erections, but they are 20-30% maximum.

First, congrats on 60 days!! That is incredible. It is also a great sign that you're getting morning erections. Most rebooters report that morning wood continues to get stronger over time. And the lack of libido is also fairly normal for rebooters. We call this the "flatline." Here is a video I made on the flatline that you may find helpful: https://youtu.be/rXfZwNqVDVA

Just know this, it will get better with time. Be patient, and let your brain regain sensitivity and rewire. When in doubt, go see a doctor just to be sure, but if you're otherwise physically healthy, then time away from porn will help.

Can the brain reboot itself again like it did two years ago?

Yes. The brain can always change. Thousands of other guys in your situation have recovered, and so can you. Keep truckin and much love.

During these two months of reboot, from time to time I had dreams where I was watching porn or scenes from long-forgotten porn videos that I watched were just playing in my head. And today I had an erotic dream where everything was normal, like I was there and one friend. I think this is a good sign, perhaps my brain is starting to work in a more correct and real direction.

By the way, friends. I have a question. The fact is that I recently noticed a slight erection (20%) during a conversation or any contact with a girl. And it has always been that way. In response to kisses or hugs, my erection rewards me by 20-30%.Therefore, does this mean that my brain has neurons associated with natural erection in response to natural sexual stimuli? That is, I have neurons associated with normal excitement, but they are weakened and do not allow me to achieve the optimal level of erection. understand my theory, guys?

Today I had a poles. For the first time in 2.5 months of reboot. But the interesting thing is that I have had poles before, but they were associated with the fact that I was watching pornography in my dreams or entire scenes from porn videos that I had once seen were scrolling. And this pole was without erotic sleep, I felt how my body removed the excess. That's all. Hopefully this means my brain is starting to free itself from porn addiction. In addition, over the past week, I have had a firmer erection than before. Now it is 35-40% hard. True, it does not last long and leaves a couple of minutes after I woke up. But still! It's nice when a member gets harder, even if it doesn't last very long.It may be too early to talk about it, but it seems to me that it is possible, possible! I have a positive trend and moderate progress. Wait and see. If so, then this is very cool.

Lol, I was in the gym today and somehow I saw a girl doing the exercise, you know, not bad. I got a little aroused, began to breathe deeper, the member rose slightly. The feeling was weak enough, but real! Not at all like the excitement of pornography. Not a bad sign, I think! But everything is ahead. I plan not to start a relationship until September-October so that my brain can rest. And from September-October, I will begin to remount the brain, probably. So, all the fun is ahead!

Friends, Gabe! I have a question for you. In September I will go to university and move to another city. This will be the 9th month of my reboot. Until September, I do not plan to start a relationship, as I do not think there is any sense in a relationship that will definitely end in September due to my move.So the question! If I spend 8 months without any sexual activity in the form of intercourse and masturbation, it will not harm my body, prostate and all that? That is, provided that during all these 8 months I will have spontaneous self-eruption once every couple of months - will this protect me from the negative consequences of a prolonged reboot for my body?Hope you heard me. Thanks in advance!

I don't think that will be a problem at all. People have followed Semen retention for years and years. Google "Brahmacharya"

Everything has changed! Yes, it happens. It is quite possible that I will still stay in my hometown while studying at the university. Then don't wait that long! I have about 100 days without PMO.And I realized one thing.I thought that I should not watch or masturbate for about 8 months and everything will be in order. But now I understand that I can't just sit and wait for everything to change.I do not have enough experience of close emotional and sexual communication with girls, so I will begin to communicate more actively with girls and spend more time with them now.I feel like the neurons in my brain associated with porn have become much weaker, but the neurons responsible for natural excitement are also weak, so I should do the reprogramming of the brain and creating new neural connections. So, friends, let's see what comes of it! But I'm sure it won't get worse than now. What could be worse than being a seventeen-year-old virgin impontant, right? :D But I think positively and I think that everything is in my hands! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

I do not understand what's going on. I lost my morning risers. For a month, they are not at all. But I began to experience periodic erections (20-30% strength), if I just spend time with my friends and classmates. Is it progress or regression? And can the loss of morning erections and relatively frequent small erections with girls be interconnected?

From what I have seen other people write it seems pretty common to lose your morning erections mid journey. But it's only temporary so don't worry too much about it. On the other hand, you are getting erections while just being around people and that seems like an excellent sign! Keep it up.
