Hyper sensitivity and PE - day 44

I’m 44 days free from watching porn. I’ve noticed certainly an improvement in the overall strength of my erections, but my PE has gotten worse over time. I went 28 days with no MO and when I did it literally only took a few strokes, not even fully hard, before my brain was rushing to ejaculate.

If I ever stop and think about my genitals I can feel a tingling sensation in them as if they’re being aroused, even if I’m not horny or touching them at all. It’s very distressing because it feels like I’ve got absolutely zero stamina. The few times I’ve tried to have sex with my wife I’ve ejaculated before being hard enough to penetrate.

I’ve spoken with a urologist and they’ve said it’s all psychological, but this feels deeper. I used to be on an SSRI and stopped taking them 2 years ago. While this problem didn’t start until more like 6-8 months ago, I’ve also read that SSRIs can permanently affect one’s sensitivity and lead to persistent problems with it, which I now fear that I have. The urologist said all they can do is re-prescribe me the SSRI, but I don’t really want to get back on them if they could have been a source of this problem to begin with.

does anyone else experience this level of sensitivity in their recovery? Is this all in my head and I just need to work on relaxing? I’m definitely stressed so that’s very possible, but it’s hard to feel like there’s a solution when my stamina is literally at 0.

SSRIs are not drugs with permanent side effects. These are drugs used by thousands of people and passed many pharmacological tests. but not all ssri are the same. There are different types of ssri substances and they all have different side effects. I've used lustral and it's really helpful. It cleared the symptoms and allowed me to do my 100+ day series. The active ingredient of lustral is sertraline. The substance and effects of a different drug are different even if it is in the SSRI group. Not every drug is good for everyone. Therefore, your doctor will prescribe the most suitable medicine for you. If it still doesn't work out, you can talk again and request a different ssri with different active ingredients. changes your medicine. I recommend that you follow your doctor's advice. Side effects disappear when the drug is discontinued. Antidepressants are good when really needed. arbitrary use is risky.

So you’re saying SSRIs helped you with erectile dysfunction? Did you have PE?

I’m more open to trying another SSRI, I’m just worried about doing more damage to my psyche by going down this road. I also have read from many people that there are in fact long term effects, and I feel the Doctors are pretty liberal with prescribing them which makes me more uneasy.

The thing is, I didn’t ever really experience PE before in my life, and not until after tskijg SSRIs for a year and then tapering off. In fact when I was younger I had the opposite issue where if anything I’d lose my erection without orgasm.

My libido was reset while using Lutral. I really felt like if a woman undressed in front of me, she wouldn't be able to do anything. yes it has been for a long time. In fact, many SSRIs cause erectile dysfunction. I don't want to say that. It does a good job on pe though. If you look at the comments of people who use lustral, many people state that they ejaculate too late or even that they cannot ejaculate. You may be erect. After the first 1-2 weeks of side effects decrease, your erection quality will increase. When I say the doctor prescribes the right medicine for you, I mean this. I didn't need an erection because I'm not married. for this reason, the doctor will recommend you an ssri that will not spoil your erection quality much. or when he says you are married he will write you a sexual supplement alongside the ssri. Sertraline is definitely an effective substance for pe. This is how most people come back. The effect of different SSRI drugs can be different. My friend, who was using a different drug, said that there was no change in his libido. This is what I meant when I said that the side effects of each SSRI are different and vary from person to person. When you see a good and experienced doctor, he will definitely recommend a suitable medicine for you. If you are not satisfied, you can change it anyway. but definitely ssri drugs do not have permanent side effects. When the drug is stopped, all side effects disappear in a while. Do not forget that millions of people use these drugs, and the use of antidepressants has increased incredibly recently. No drug with permanent side effects can be released by health institutions. have peace of mind. I hope you will regain your health soon.
