FIRST POST: Looking for answers!

I will start out with a short PMO synopsis of myself. I started PMO in 8th grade and became a heavy user (1-3 times a day) until I came across yourbrainonporn.com a few weeks ago (currently 22yrs old). Currently, I am on day 9 of no-PMO. My major symptoms that I attribute to porn addiction are: depression, social-anxiety, lack of concentration/focus, short term memory loss, and the worst and which probably cause all the symptoms desensitization TO EVERYTHING! I know deep down I am a good dude with the right intentions, but having a feeling (or lack there of) of not being there and totally empty inside prevents me from acting on my intentions. Recently interacting with people (even the people I love dearly) has becoming difficult. I struggle with coming up with words to say, having feelings during conversation, and keeping the conversation going. I just shut down. That is why I decided to start a 90 day no PMO challenge. As of now, I feel the same way as I did day 1, so I am becoming skeptical if it is the PMO causing my problems, or if it's just me. Please let me know what you think...good or bad, I am just looking for answers.

From my own life, I know for a fact that PMO negatively affects my ability to socialize in person and increases the level of social anxiety that I feel. I have proven this to myself over and over and over! It is undeniable.

I can't personally speak as much to the other issues. I have certainly read many stories from guys who report that issues with desensitization, concentration, and depression improve or clear up entirely with abstinence from PMO. However, I think these can certainly be caused by other things as well. Sometimes people blame things on PMO that really have nothing to do with it.

Anyway, whatever you decide to do, I wish you luck on your journey!
 
This will take time, because your brain is hard-wired from such a young age it will take longer

Here's my tip for you

Begin kegel exercises daily
Add a nice 5-10 minute cardio to your daily routine to get the blood pumping

Buy a zinc supplement for testosterone, this will boost things up (BUT do not rely on it, this is just a booster)

Never ever touch your penis even if you get morning wood

Avoid looking at beautiful women on a screen FULL STOP

You will go through a flat line multiple times but remember this every time you are going through a flat line your brain is having to adjust to the new you
