Day 11 - Day 12

How quickly things change. When I started this journal I thought quitting PMO is the most difficult thing. 12 days later I'm full of confidence that I can succeed. Not just quitting, but becoming the man I want to be. Don't get me wrong, I'm under no illusions that I've made it or even close to it. This is an addiction that's been going for almost 20 years, it's the toughest battle with myself. I've just reached a point where I believe I can.

Keep it going @astralon you are off to an amazing start! Great mindset and that is the motivation and drive that you need to start this process the best way. 12 days solidified in the past, the rest of your life is in view, keep moving forward and you will achieve your goals.

Day 1

I failed yesterday and starting again. Interesting to see how depressed it made me feel afterwards. Short term pleasure only, not worth it.

I also noticed this - that after a streak porn seemed SO much more exciting, but in fact I felt much more down about it after than I used to. Definitely not worth it. Sometimes we need a reminder I guess of why we wanted to quit in the first place. But if we can just circle back to those feelings we felt the last time we relapsed it should provide an avenue for escaping the cycle of relapses? Stay strong!

Exactly. I’m not talking about feelings of guilt etc., I’m talking about feeling down, low serotonin down. It was interesting to notice and can be helpful to remember that feeling.
