When I started this journey I was grossly obese...374 lbs to be exact. In addition I was drinking red wine about 4 times a week, at least 3 glasses a night. I've since quit drinking, and lost over 60 lbs.A drop in the bucket as I am still considered obese. With that said, could dropping more weight ( my goal is 180 lbs) help with the ED along with the porn abstinence.I have also made a pact with myself that I am only going on my email and here, but sparsely as Youtube imagery ( I think) seems to tap into the same dopamine receptors as porn. That switching from image to image has got have the same negative consequences.I feel my brain in the frontal cortex get tight, tingly and even uncomfortable.Getting back to the subject at hand, I have been incorporating hard exercise into my daily regimen and it seems to help slightly. Is there any other tools with that and nofap someone could recommend? Or if you want to comment, please do so.

Congratulations! I am also doing this, steadily taking off a few pounds a week and upping the exercise. I do find it helps with cravings and restlessness. Im also a big fan of meditation and breathwork :)

@Crackers1 60lbs is not a drop in the bucket - that’s a massive effort and a massive achievement to boot. Congratulations.

min my experience (im a Personal trainer and nutritionist) there are a number of pathways through which excess weight could contribute to ED. Likely high cholesterol leading to high Blood pressure is one, there’s an Insulin pathway to aromatase converting some of your test into estrogen etc. continuing on your journey will surely help all these things.

the dietary factors and the exercise, consistently applied is all you need to keep the weight down. keep it simple and you’ll continue to achieve. Its really important while in a calorie deficit to lift weights also, as this ensures that the weight loss is coming from fat and not muscle.

I'm very worried about prostate and bladder health. I will say my urine flow has has remarkably improved. I worry about getting prostate cancer or some other prostate issues with with no fapping. I did get all my blood work back and got my PS a's checked. They came back at 1.27, but they mark it up 20 perget up 20% which would make it 1.5 something. But that doesn't mean anything.

Buddy I think you are worrying yourself without cause. Current rates of prostate cancer are 208 men per 100,000 - so that’s 0.02% chance youd get prostate cancer to start with. Lets just for argument’s sake say that we accept studies saying that those who fail to ejaculate 7 times a week (or 21 times a month in some studies) increase their risk by 20% - so now instead of having 0.02% chance of getting prostate cancer you have 0.022%

While 78% of prostate cancer patients survive, overall you have far more to be concerned about with weight, as this increases your chance of having an adverse or extreme case with complications.

keep your focus on your health and bring that down, and dont sweat the 0.002%

Well being grossly obese you can see why I worry relentlessly. Outside of statistics, do you have any knowledge or experience with this subject? I would suspect alot of my issues will get resolved once I am down to a normal weight, but my worrying has got to have some sort of justification.Being still over 300 lbs I worry about this as no fapping has got to increase some sort of chance. Since Ive lost weight my urinationn has gotten better. But still scared that I cant reverse any damage that has occured.

When I got married, I relaxed from love and attention, started eating whatever and whenever I wanted, in good quantities and mostly in the evening. Aerobics gave way to shows and movies after work. Then there were stressful periods at work and eating problems. The thought of losing weight came back to me every year. But even though I got shortness of breath, which was especially noticeable when traveling, where there was a lot of walking, I found excuses not to lose weight. My doctor at https://medicalweightlosslehighvalley.com/ center said there should be a difference in calories - a maximum deficit of 700 kcal. And that difference is made up from excess fat. So additionally age and metabolism are taken into account but that's what the pros do, not me.
