My Story and Goals

Hey guys,

I just joined this website and I really think it will be able to help me.  My name is Josh, and I have been struggling with pornography and masturbation for a while now.  I have a girlfriend of over 3 years, and I plan on marrying her sometime in the near future, and after listening to many men's stories about addiction and the problems it creates within relationships, I have made a commitment to stop porn and masturbation.  I masturbated today and afterwards I decided that it was hurting my life and had the potential to make it much worse going forward.  So I can't say that I have made it "1 day" yet without masturbating, but this is my beginning.  My goal is to not masturbate or look at porn ever again, and to view girls in a more positive and Godly light.  I want to respect women more and be as honorable as possible to my girlfriend, for whom I have the highest respect and whom I love very deeply.

Welcome to the Forum! You have a gf, which is massive bonus to you (in comparison to the other guys around here haha) so make the most of her while you rewire! Keep yourself distracted and busy and constantly remind yourself of your purpose for doing this.

Thanks guys   you rock!  It's going well.  Plus, I got to see my girlfriend for the first time in a while since we have both been at school, and it was so amazing.  She is so amazing.
