26 Year Old- Mild PIED (I think)? -- My Story

Hello all,

I am a 26 year old and I suspect I (mildly) suffer from Porn Induced ED (PIED); however I would like to share my story with you and have your opinions please. I have tried to have sex with my partner on several occasions and have had ups and downs with it, but are faced with 2 issues whenever we try:
1. She feels very tight and I cannot penetrate all the way through (can only get about the head in)
2. It is usually difficult for me to maintain my erection and it is as if it needs constant stimulation

I discovered masturbation around the age of 12-13 without any porn, but with broadband by around 14-15, I began PMO; however, I have always predominantly stuck with softcore material (generally material safe for YouTube) and remained with my fetish for female derri?res.
However, I had a revelation at the age of 18 where I completely gave up PMO and decided to become a new man. Shortly after, I found myself in a relationship, few months in and we began foreplay, the first time she stroked my penis I came in moments. My doctor advised it was premature ejaculation (PE) and actually suggested PMO. I was very reluctant to do so, but eager to control my PE, I began MO and after around a year without any PMO I gradually was thrown fully back into it by around age 20.
By around the age 24, we first tried intercourse which did not go so well, seeking advice we did progress in future attempts (possibly due to gradual reduced amount of PMO?). Around the start of 2014, I stumbled across YBOP website and decided to drop porn. However after reading the theories on the site being dismissed elsewhere and being advised by GP that it is performance anxiety, I was back on PMO at a reduced frequency after around 1-2 months without porn.
Having revisiting the site recently, I have decided to go for a more serious reboot to get this fixed once and for all, and am already 1 week in.
My PMO habits haven?t changed much over the years apart from the fact that I think progressively I would edge more and more looking for novelty and finding that new ?perfect? material to finish.
Nevertheless, I don?t really have difficulty getting an erection or even orgasm with my partner, mainly maintaining my erection during sex seems to be the issue. I don?t have any problem with morning wood either and still sometimes get spontaneous wood, whenever I wake up alarm free it seems to be there and seems to be at its hardest. Although standing up makes it go down quite quickly.

With all that being said, I would like to know your thoughts on my situation, particularly:
- I know it?s difficult to say for sure, but roughly how long would you think it would take me to reboot given my story?
- Will having actual sex set me back? I?ve heard contradictory things.
- How will I know when I have fully reset?

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my story and I look forward to your responses :)

To be honest, Im not at all sure you suffer from PIED although I will admit the requirement of constant stimuation to keep the erection is a red flag.

I suggest giving up PMO, keep having sex with your partner but try to be relaxed about the whole thing (easy said, not easily done) and if you climax really early or lose your erection, try focusing on her and making it a great time for her.
If you have PIED, it is unfortunately impossible to tell how long it will take before you are reset although your case doesnt sound severe at all so I imagine it will take shorter than for most guys.
Try the common 90 days and see how that works for you.
Unfortunately there is no red light that starts blinking once you are fully recovered but honestly there shouldnt be a need to, if you go back to regular porn use after having been "clean" for a long while, its not like you are immune to its effects. Basically, stay off the porn.

Give the no porn/no fap thing a go and see what happens. Seems like its not full blown ED. But just to make sure, NO PORN!

Thank you both for your input and advice, much appreciated :)

It is good to know that my case does not seem too severe; I think I convinced myself of this which is why I kept throwing in the towel after a while on past reboot attempts. However, this time I want to try my best not to let that phase me, even if I don't have PIED, a reboot can't harm :)
I'm gonna give it a go and see if I notice any difference. I'll be honest, I am not too sure if I've ever experienced 'flatlining' which I hear is a very common symptom for guys rebooting few weeks in. My keen eye for attractive females is always out even with no PMO.

Let's see how it goes and I'll keep things posted :)

Hi all,

Hope yall had a great Xmas.  :)

So to update on my situation, now around 2 weeks without any PMO. But today was my first day of orgasm within the 2 weeks as I managed to get some private time with my partner, not private enough for sex though unfortunately, just mainly quick oral and bit of foreplay.
I do find that not having regular orgasms does keep me on the verge more during sexual activity and makes me cum quicker.
I hope this orgasm with my partner hasn't pushed my reboot back though.

I also found that on two consecutive nights, I had dreams where I was back to my old habits and PMOing over my usual type of clips over YouTube. I always get these kind of dreams when I have gone a while with no orgasm, no wet dream though surprisingly. I hope this also doesn't detriment the reboot in any way. I doubt I'll have another similar dream tonight since I was able to get any of what was in my system out today.

To my suprise I did have a similar dream again last night despite the O during the day! None have ended up as wet dreams as I would normally expect. The dreams do make it somewhat more tempting to relapse so hopefully no more.

Another question I would like to ask is whether I would be able to use to a more natural use of porn after a successful reboot? Now I know many would strongly say there should be no reason I would even want to return after a successful reboot. The reason I am asking is due to the nature of the entertainment I usually consume, being an avid fan of anime /manga; now I am not referring to pornographic anime here but regardless often the content is very titillating and can be perverted. Of course I am avoiding this stuff during reboot but would like to pick up again (minus the MO) some time after I know I am fine. Please advise if possible.
Thank you

Hi all and happy new year.

Okay so I am finding that I am having pornographic dreams quite regularly. Including this morning where I also got the sensation of orgasm which I thought resulted in a wet dream. These always wake me up instantly, but I found no semen or even precum, this has happened before not too long ago relatively. Whereas back in the day when I was off PMO, I am sure this sort of dream with this feeling would result in a wet dream.
So I am not sure whether or not this is a good or bad thing. I am hoping it means that my body is starting to rely more on physical simulation for an actual O.

Hi Mike! My name is Nolan and I'm 26 years old dealing with this problem. I had my first experience with sexual intercourse back during last summer and had ED and it hurt big time. Idk how long it will take you because I don't know how long it will take me. I'm working on week 2 right now and I'm hoping that in the next couple of months, I'll be able to have a full and complete recovery with AMAZING libido and GREAT erections. We're in this together man! Keep up the good work and remember that everyone is different in their recovery process. I'm with you though. COUNT ON IT!
