400+ days - not cured.

Hi Everyone,

My situation just seems  to highlight how different everyone's reboot/rewire can be.

I've gone 400+ days without PM.

My story:
My PIED only started a couple weeks AFTER I quit. I never had PIED in my 17 years of PMO (even in the 8 years of marriage).
I now avoid all things that use to be triggers, No Tv, I dont look at bill boards, adverts in magazines, women in general ( apart from my SO)
I have not tried the "Hard Boot", rather doing the rewire/reboot with SO.

Where I am now:
1.) For the last 3 years I have PE, before that I could last a few minutes - still not long enough though. My PE is worse now than ever before.
2.) I now have PA, which to is not that bad, I can perform most of the time, its when my SO (or myself) wants to be a bit adventurous and I NEED to be ready - that's when I freak out.
3.) I cannot maintain or get full erections when standing up without physical stimulation. - I read this on another thread yesterday, and others experience this too.

My major concern is the PE.

Do you think I should attempt the hard boot or just hang in there with what I'm doing?

Hmm. I mean, I think 400 days is long enough to know if a strategy is working or not. I think it may be in your best interest to try "hard mode" rebooting - I've noticed that the overwhelming majority of success and recover stories have at least in initial period of abstinence from all orgasms. Orgasms, even with a partner, may still trigger porn pathways in your brain if you haven't given your brain proper rest. Mull it over - Confide in your partner, see what they think, and then embark on the journey!

I don't have much to add but I agree from everything I read, the majority of success stories have involved a hardmode for a period of time. I am almost on day 60 of hardmode and just started seeing some tangible results. Also, FYI, I (and others including gabe) ahd the same standing up issue. My erections are strengthening standing up and lasting longer so the reboot seems to help resolve this.

Have you been to a doctors?  What's your age?  I feel like 400 days is a long time.  Maybe low T?

I'm 32.
I went for a bunch of tests last year. Health wise I'm ok.

I really want to give the hard boot a try,  but my SO is against it.

Thanks for the help and advice.

You need to lay down the law to your wife.  IF this is important enough to you, then use that testosterone of yours and tell her how it is!! :p haha  She might end up really liking that :)
