What does PMO exactly mean?

Hello guys,

I am pretty confused about the abbreviations used on this site such as no PMO does it mean no masturbation to porn that results with an orgasm or no masturbation, no porn, no orgasm? Likewise PM and MO are also confusing, I would like to get pointed in the right direction.

P means porn or rather use of porn.
M means wanking it in any form(to porn, with a partner or edging 'no orgasm'
O means orgasm or climax/release with intent using any method.  Generally wet dreams do not count as they are for the most part uncontrollable and are essentially the body making sure the pipes work unconsciously.

I thought of it as orgasm with masturbating to porn collectively. So it means abstaining from sexual activity of any kind? I ceased porn but masturbating and orgasming which I think does not effect recovery as long as I keep away from porn or any porn substitutes, right?

Well, if you masturbate thinking about P scenarios, then it's the same kind of problem: not wired to reality. That's how I understand it. For me personally, I know I won't M without scenarios like this so I just avoid M altogether.

Guys are not 100% consistent with their use of these terms, but I like to think "no PMO" means "no masturbation to porn that results with an orgasm". In other words, masturbation with porn is not PMO unless there's also an orgasm.

For "no masturbation, no porn, no orgasm", I would shorten it to "no P, M, or O" instead of "no PMO".

Its a novel thought and a logical compromise, but I have found in previous attempts to get free, before I ever found this site, that it was almost a waste of time for me. Within a week, I was back online.

Your brain knows how to manipulate you to get the rush it wants. You can decide to say no more porn, and you will still think about it, then maybe you'll "accidentally" find that hot Facebook pic at the wrong time. Then its Facebook for a few days, then a google image search, yada yada yada...porno!

All that said, I am out to avoid PMO and MO. However, if I end up caving to a moment of weakness, I will MO and get right back in the fight. Right now, I feel like something too stringent would make me more prone to a binge session, which I definitely don't want!!!

EDIT: CrazyGopher is right. If you mean abstaining from all O's you would need to split them up No P, M, or O. Using PMO means wanking it to porn to orgasm. The term "edging" either means PM'ing or M'ing without orgasm.

Thanks for the heads up, I was not aware of that vocabulary list. By the way I can go with just MO without fantasizing artificial simulation I avoid all artificial stimuli such as hot pictures of women on Facebook, image searching, reading erotica etc. if I fantasize I fantasize about real life experiences of mine, so I think I should be safe.
