You are doing great Stressrelief!

Some very positive posts and good mileage on your path.

Hi Everyone,

Thank you all for you positive posts.

So far so good, but it's tough. I've been talking about my addiction to my wife and although she realised I was an addict it appears we both did not know the negative impact it was having on our sex life.

I appear to have flatlined but the urge for PMO is still ever present,  sometimes less than before.  As for my pensis well it hasn't looked so good in a very long time, but it still looks red and damaged. The resensitiseation is taking much longer than I anticipated, I guess I'll just have to be patient.  To be truthful I'm really looking forward to feeling sex, especially oral sex and to feel the senation as it should have always been.

My Wife is unwell at present so it suits us both not to have sex, which is fortunate. I've been focusing my energy on caring for her and if I was still PMO'ing I would not be able to afford either the time or energy that I have used to care for her.

She is responding to my love and care in a positive way and it is bringing us both closer together. My mind would be elsewhere if I was PMO'ing and once started only God knows when I would finish. How many times have we promised ourselves only 30 mins, only 60 mins, only 2 hours.  I previously set timers only to hear them sound continuously in the background and irritate me during my session.

I ask if any of you guys have a recommendation for a website showing me how to mediate as I think this could be the answer to my stressrelief.

Anyhow thanks and good luck!

Do you have a smart phone ?
theres a meditation album on iTunes . Its chakra meditation and the album is called chakra dhyana: guided meditation. It involves visualization of specific colours on certain parts of your body. Ive tried another one from deepak chopra however this album I listed above has a more hynosis sound to it. Kind of like tibetan healing bowl sounds which are used to heal your body vibrationally.

Be patient with it if you've never meditated though. You will find the more experienced you become with it the less day to day mental chatter will be lurking in your head as you meditate.

Ive actually restarted meditating as of last sunday

hope this helps

edit;
you may also find listening to tibetan healing bowls an easier way to introduce yourself into meditation.

I'm new to this forum and I don't know what advise I could give you right now.
I just want to give you my support and encouragements... be strong

You could check if there are any meditation courses or groups in you area.

It can be difficult to just start meditation by yourself.
But if you want to do that, maybe start by simply observing your breath.
Set a (gentle) alarm that will indicate the end of your session. If you don't, your mind will start wondering what time it is.
Then sit down comfortably en concentrate on how it feels inside your nose when you breathe in and out. Don't force a calmer or faster rhythm. Simply observe. As it comes in. As it goes out.
When your mind wanders off and you catch it, gently bring it back to the incoming and outgoing breath. Don't get worked up about your mind wandering. That's it's nature. Not much you can do about it. It's like a monkey jumping from tree to tree.
You are there to simply catch it and focus again on your breathing.
If you could do that daily for 15 minutes, you're off to a great start!

But if you really want to get into meditation, I highly recommend looking for a 10-day vipassana introduction course. They have centres all over the globe.
