Withdrawal: feeling dumber

Hi!

I'm now more than two months clean, and I've to say that there are days that I feel dumber, compared to when I was PMOing. Is this normal? I think it can be explained as a byproduct of anxiety. Does that makes sense?

Thanks!

I can absolutely relate to that. I work with Starbucks and everytime I reboot there are days that I ask people to repeat themselves multiple times and completely blank out while making drinks. Just take it easy and slow down man.

Sounds like a case of porno fog; a horrid variation of the common brain fog but much more insidious. It strikes people during withdrawal phases in the porn addicts reboot.
Once the sun comes out that fog will dissappear.  8)

tostadora - it does make sense. I had such symptoms.

Don't know how long have you been addicted, but really, it will take a few months until you will rise from the ashes. Just keep fighting and NEVER look back!

I've been using porn for maybe 20 years. Internet porn for about 13 years. So yeah, I think it'll take a while... :-/

I'm hoping I only have one month left (90 days), but who knows. What is your experience?

Your in the process of your reboot.  Strange things will happen.  Don't get derailed stay the course :)

I have been off P for a little over 3 months now.  I feel way more confident, assertive, and sharp.  I've still got more to go, but I can tell you, it's definitely worth it and will certainly not make you "dumber".  Thats just your brain playing tricks on you in order to get its dose of dopamine (PMO).
