Heart rate and mood deteriorated

Hi,

I have just passed my first 30 days without porn and mb. I must admit it is hard but still possible.
Initially I had really good mood as well as lot of energy.
Unfortunately 3 days ago everything turned and right now I am smashed(trying to apply sedative herbs and magnesium).
Is it normal? I can not focus on my work, I am sad.

Another thing I noticed was my heart rate. I can not say for sure as I am lacking past data but it looks like my pulse is much to high (no porn and mb may be unrelated to this).
Do you experience simillar things?

What you are experiencing is quite normal.

Those swings between positive and negative mood come in waves.

Trick is not to be afraid of them, every time you have a weave of negative emotions it will be weaker and it will last shorter.

After some time you won't even get them and you'll feel positive most of the time unless you have some other problem in your life that is causing anxiety or depression.

They lasted about 10 days for me. Each they were weaker and weaker.

I agree. You will be fine in the long run! Not using PMO is a big change to your brain chemistry. Those old receptors start to really cry and whine, don't cave in to them and it will start to pass.

Maybe, try getting some dopamine and seratonin hits from other positive activities like socializing, health, walk/run, weights, hanging with a pet, nature, fishing, volunteer work. This can create all new positive type chemical hits that help replace the old wiring to porn.

I definitely noticed higher than normal heart rate. My normal resting heart rate is quite low, and a couple of weeks into my reboot it was 5 to 10 beats per minutes faster on average. I also noticed myself being more susceptible to stress in general and at times just felt anxious.

Those feelings passed. Now I'm doing well and heart rate is back to normal.
