Low dopamine receptors causing bad sleep, waking up exhausted? Gary Wilson?

I was reading the yourbrainrebalanced forum, and found this thread:  http://www.yourbrainrebalanced.com/index.php?topic=33474.0
Someone mentions about REM sleep disorder being caused by low dopamine and D2 receptors. So this would mean that even if you sleep 8 hours you would wake up tired. I bet that Gary Wilson knows more of this, so if he sees this, it would be interesting to hear his opinion.

Anyone else wake up so f*cking tired every day? Anyone know more about this? This would explain a lot, and it would be interedting to know how long it lasts and if returning of deep sleep would mean returning of normal dopamine functioning?

Please all  share your experiences and knowlege!

Hey Don,
It would be good to hear about the brain chemistry at work during sleep (or sleeplessness).  I hope someone bring that perspective.

I know that "good sleep" nights for me happen when I'm in bed sleep when my body says it is time.  As long as I don't push myself past that point I have a pretty good sleep.

Also, because I have relaxed a lot of body tension over the years through meditation and not PMO's as much I find my sleep more restful.

We do have 5 kids in our family so the nights can get hectic but that is part of the game right now...I figure I'll get better sleep patterns established in the next 4-5 years.

Thanks for the question and I'm looking forward to more of the responses.

Take care,

rem sleep is due to high dopamine and is a good thing , it means your brain is healing. those dopamine pathways are starting to fire up again !

you get rested during deep sleep stage, unfortunately more rem means less deep sleep,  it will all even out eventually,  just like your libido,  erections, moods ect

just goes to show how important dopamine is to so many things
