PIED. And wanting to reboot. Second time around

We all relapse at some point. Don't beat yourself up over it. Just don't let it become a binge. Get right back on track with renewed determination to beat your last streak!

Good luck!

Thank you so much for writing the above :)

It kind of hurts to write this after my last streak got so far. But here goes. This is DAY ONE. Very easy day today as I am busy and engaged all day. I told my wife about my relapse and she was very sympathetic which helped. I hope I haven?t undone all my good work.

Mate, 48 days was a good streak. And you've done lots of good things:
- you told your wife rather than hiding it;
- you came back on here and faced the music rather than running away;
- you committed today to be day one rather than another day zero.

Now my advice is this: take a moment to reflect on the circumstances that led to the relapse. What could you do differently next time? Think about how it feels to relapse. And how it felt to be 47 days clean.

And over the next few days, when it pains you to type "day two / three / four"... Use that pain to your advantage. To build up resilience for next time.

Go again :)
