Hello everyone!

I am glad I made it and I do not feel any cravings at all. Good because it makes it easier to stay clean.

Today I went to my family and I knew from the past, I always PMO whenever I get the chance. So this time I decided before I go there, to let my brother lock the pc with a password. When I arrived I noticed some other devices like the ipad. So I also asked to lock that one too.

Most of the time my mind tricks me into believing I will be able to stay away form PMO, but I failed many times so I realised I have to be smarter and be one step ahead. So please be aware of the mind tricks.

I had almost an erotic dream today. In my dream I sat behind a computer and I saw a naked women. I wanted to see more but at the same time I knew I didn?t want to.

When I woke up, I realised I should take action before I visit my family.

Whenever a sexual thought pops up, I got some seconds to change my thoughts and emotions into good energies. The first three seconds for me are important. I should not think longer or else I might lose myself.

At home I am not able to watch porn and because I already tried many many times to bypass it but failed, I now don?t feel the need and urge anymore to take effort to watch. Arousal not possible behind my computer anymore haha.

Intro

The temptation is too strong when I know I could just watch porn by clicking my mouse within seconds. No wonder it is hard to stop PMO (porn, masturbation and orgasm). So I had to shut down everything on my pc as much as possible!

It took me at least half a year to record every bypassing way and how to deal with it. My steps may seems weird but I assure you, this will work!

Although I PMO today, I just forgot to install a second filter on my second notebook while I was writing this treat :p. I was only able to watch images.


I will prove you guys how effective these steps are in rebooting. Watch my counter, mark my words! :)


I think to block porn is STEP 0 in rebooting!! Unless you got a strong will power, you have to block porn as much as possible!!

Let?s make it as hard as possible for the mind to get access to porn. When the mind is lazy and bypassing filters takes time, the chance is that you are going to give up searching any further. I am talking about experience with k9 filter. As an addict, it took me sometimes almost 3 hours to try to bypass the filter. Now I finally made it to block this shit!

You see, when it takes at least 15 minutes for you to stay away from P, big chance you are getting back to your senses and stop yourself in time.

This might take a day to install, test out and even get you into relapse. Might be frustrating but trust me, if you get this thing right, you won?t be able to watch any porn. At least it will make it much more difficult for you to watch porn.




Here we go

Step 1:

Install k9 but do not use your own email dress! Because in k9, you are still able to send a new password to your email!

Please create a new email account (Hotmail) with a password number like 128394. When you have to enter your email address during register, use 10 minute mail just to activate your new email account. 10 minute mail will temporary give you an email account for just 10 minutes! After 10 minutes, the email will be gone forever.

Now please write down your new email name with password on a piece of paper and install k9. Create a password number for k9 and also write it down.


After installing, please put the protection settings on the highest rate! (which also might block streaming video's) If you do not put it on the highest rate, you will be able to still watch P or bypass the filter.

You have to give in to get what you really want I believe. This step is very important but a hard pill to swallow.

It is possible to add websites on the block list without logging into k9 web administration. Please read the instruction how to do this when you log into k9. (keep in mind this will not always work and you might need to click many times). With this handy tool, when you do find link which triggers you, you have the choice to immediately add it to the block list. Don't hesitate but do it within seconds!

Make a white list to make sure k9 is not blocking it. For instance, add rebootnation and yourbrainbalanced in the white list.

Type in words in the block words list like ?naked? ?bikini? ?lingerie??yoga?. K9 will block every word you type in the search engine.

*Make sure to type in ?k9? too in the block words list, because this will prevent you to bypass k9 when you want to try to type in a search engine how to remove the software. (according to k9, without the password, removing k9 is not possible.)

Make sure you are able to access k9 web administration by adding the link to the white list. The link is a number I think and put the link in your bookmark favorite. (please try this out if it works, I haven?t tried it out because I lost my password)


Check k9 filter, go to google images and see if you can watch hardcore images. k9 should be able to block images, if not then mail me for setting change in your pc. If setting change do not work, then you should add google to block list. Because of https, blocking google was a pain in the ass for me.

Check other search engines for images like yahoo, wow, bing, yandex, dogpile, ixquick, and more.

I recommend to put all search engines into the black list except for www.duckduckgo.com! Duckduckgo is a good anonymous search engine and it will make it harder for you to find any porn website to bypass. Without other search engines, how are you gonna be able to find any new porn links or porn image? Also most search engines does show hardcore image, see for yourself.

You should block the following websites in my opinion, youtube, dailymotion, pinterest, photobuncket, facebook. Please add your own black list. K9 does have a beta version for youtube and maybe facebook but it did not worked for me.

I would say, block any page which let you see photo?s of babes. Like yoga video's and stuff like that which might trigger you in the future. Also online dating sites I would recommend to block. I blocked most streaming video websites. When you feel cravings, a simple picture of a hot women not naked, might get you back into PMO.

If you know websites to download P movies, k9 should be able to block it. If not than you should add it to the block list my friend.



Step 2

Please install a second filter Qustodio!!! Very important step and follow the instructions. Use your new email account to register.

The second filter is important because it will block websites when k9 fails. Also the second filter will make it more difficult to bypass. You will need more time to bypass 2 filters.

For instance, when you type in porn in a search engine, Qustodio will block your search results.

Make sure you put the Qustodio administration page on the white list and add to bookmark. Put the word qustodio in k9 blocking words list. Now k9 will block any page which explains how to remove the software if possible.

Now try and see if the filters are working and add every website on the black list.



Step 3

If you think you have done enough testing, please send the k9 password and your new email account name with password to a family member, friend or someone on this forum like me. Erase your password numbers you wrote down. You could also use www.lettermelater.com. But it is not very effective when you need the password right now.

Whenever you do find another trigger website, ask the password and when you received it, add the link to the black list and immediately delete your email. (check again if email is deleted)



Step 4

Make sure you put the filter k9 on your mobile phone, Ipad, notebook and any other device where you stay! Repeat the whole process above if necessary. For notebooks I recommend to also install Qustodio filter.


See your filter as your buddy to help heal yourself. Please add suggestions if you would like to and help make k9 stronger, by sending them not rated websites. Feel free to ask any questions! Although I am not often online. Good luck and please comment to let me know if it works for you too!

Extra:

I installed noscript, see https://noscript.net/

Not only can you hide while surfing the net, noscript also blocks streaming video?s. A person have to click to allow a page to play. This also takes time, you might need these couple of seconds when reconsidering watching a video.

I also use Ghostery which sometimes helps I think. Ghostery blocks trackers, perhaps P trackers.


What if I don't want to install K9 because of someone else?

If you are still living with your parents or you are living with someone else you don't want to let them know about your addictions, you could buy a private computer like a notebook.
Ask your parents, friends or your partner to put a password on the pc. You could tell them you are addicted to something else like gaming or watching youtube video's. Or you can of course make another account on the same computer from your parents.

Now asking them to create a password so you will not be able to log into theirs, is kinda tricky without giving in. I am sure you will find a way to convince them if you would like to follow this. Good luck!

Day 23

Today I had an erotic dream and I masturbated. I almost ejaculated. Even though I did not ejaculated, I did feel weaker as if I ejaculated. That was a pretty weird feeling. I also masturbated yesterday when I had an erotic dream without ejaculation.

Unfortunate during my writings and testing out if porn was available to write my experience for you guys, I PMO..... This happened because I didn't expected I forgot to install Qustodio on my second notebook. I went to www.yandex.com and I was able to watch porn images. I did my best to install Qustodio as fast as possible to block it. In the beginning I was able to control myself, no big deal. But during installing, something went wrong and my notebook got extremely slow. I got irritated because it took so long to load the pages. I was angry why the pc was so slow and eventually I went back to yandex and saw porn images, cravings came. I wasn't able to watch high speed porn video's, only images. I am honest, if I was able to watch it, I would have done it!

Now the good thing is that I already reached my goal of 14 days. I even made it to 22 days which is a huge record in years! I feel good and I am proud about myself. Let's get back on track!

I got one question for you though - are you meditating ? Because what you explain with getting angry and than going back to PMOing sounds very familiar to me. You probably know this already but anyways - PMOing is a way for us to medicate bad feelings, to overwrite the bad feelings with good sensation. The problem is, we need to learn to help us in such situations not with pleasure as distraction from whats happening. I dont like all this "talk" about what to do in these moments, but rather what you can actually do. And this is where meditation is so key. The moment the filter didnt install fast enough you started to get mad. From there on it went on till porn as you said. When you start to meditate you will get better at stopping this anger (or any other unpleasent situation) by realising its cause. This sounds wierd to you maybe, but really all you need to do is meditate (pref every day). Besides this there is a study that shows a 15% increase in the prefrontal cortex from students that meditated every day for 1hour for 8 weeks(no need to start with 1h, 5-10min will do at the start). The prefrontal cortex is key for your self discipline/long term goals. The "crazy monkey mind" about which he talks in part two, is your mind creating the anger after the filter doesnt install fast enough, which leads you to PMOing. If you can controll this "monkey mind" though via meditation, you start to lead your mind and no anger will appear anymore = no PMO.

Very interesting study, thank you! I didn't know meditation was so effective for self discipline/long term goals. Looks like I really need to take meditation serious. One hour is long but I really want to achieve my goal. I will start tomorrow morning with a one hour meditaion :) I have to learn to do it everyday if I want this to work.

Youtube has been blocked on my pc. I am going to watch the video in the library. I am looking forward to see the video about the 'monkey mind', very helpfull thank you!

To prevent readers for reading triggers, I have not explained in detail what I was thinking. Please let me know if these are triggers I should remove, thank you.


I relapsed again today, twice! Can't believe it I let my guard down.

I meditated today in bed for almost an hour in the morning. Then I thought about an exercise and I did that but then I suddenly reminded me of an image I saw a women doing. I enjoyed the image more than 5 seconds then I stopped the thought. I guess it was too late already, the image has manifested in my mind and I wanted to see more. When I was sitting behind my notebook, I couldn't control myself and I looked if I could find some video's on my notebook. I found just some normal exercise video's with women, no porn. But for me, these kind of video's turns me on and I first masturbated without O. I was edging for hours man watching women doing exercises and eventually I orgasmed! Anyway I had a good laugh, it was pretty funny I did MO just one day later. At least it wasn't porn right?

I thought I had put already these websites on the block list, but I was wrong. So I decided to once again search for links to put in the black list to prevent me seeing these exercise video's. Then I found another link to download video's from youtube, without the youtube link. And this time it was PMO...this time there was some kind of nudity in it.

After asking my sister the password, I put the links in the black list. I put links in as much as possible I could find on the web, which triggers me.

I hope this is the last time. I wanna prove it helps to block as much as possible. At least I wasn't able to watch my favorite P. I will go further with my meditation exercises.


Learn to watch your thoughts and emotions carefully and when negative thoughts pops up in your mind, do whatever it takes to stop the negative thought within seconds. The first 2 seconds according to my experience are the strongest to stop any thought. Be consistent!

sorry for my later respons, but I was feeling a little angry/sad etc. - withdrawal I guess and thus didnt want to answer.

I m glad you started the meditation. Maybe start with only 20-30 mins, that is atleast what is recommended for beginners and you dont get tired of it cause it might be to long. Key thing is that you do it every day so it becomes a routine and it can be effective. Meditation is really effective if you keep doing it (also read about the topic because there are a few things you need to know about it, like few meditation exercises such as breathing meditation/walking meditation).

Now dont worry about the relapse, but try to figure out why this happend. Sth to support you in this reboot process, and that might help you with it are these two articles. I read them yesterday and they really really helped me.

As Dareius recommended, meditation could be very helpful. But if I were you I would start with 5-10 min. Because 30 min at first would be sudden change for you. You first need to make a habit of it, which takes about 20-30 days, and these small steps are the best way how to achieve that.

Don't worry, you will find a way how to rid of this addiction for good!

For me it takes energie to write and I am anxious while writing on forums. It also takes time for me to reply. I would like to help other too but currently I don't have the energie for that.

I think you are right, I should not take too long with meditation thank you. I get tired and sleepy. Yesterday I have just meditated for 8 minutes before going to bed.

Thanks for the article, I will read it after writing this. I still have to watch the meditation on youtube. Procrastination is something I really have to deal with, big problem for me.

I think you are right to take small steps and start with 5-10 minutes, because up till now I have never managed to meditate everyday. Sometimes 10, sometimes 30 minutes and most of the time I am not doing it at all. I first need to make it into a habit, thank you very educational!

Meditation really helps, but in long term.  I also think it is good to start with 5 to 10 minutes.
I do meditation morning and evening.
Actually I do the evening meditation in a different way. I go to gym and then when I am tired I go to a cafe and have tea. I jsut sit and concentaprate on my breath. Also I concentrate on every single moment of drinking my tea.
I jsut mean you can make it your own way and make it enjoyable. After all meditaion will eventually become a pleasure not a mendatory task.

Thank you very much for your help about meditation! Very educational to read how you meditate! I didn't know it was also possible to meditate like that :)

I most of the time just sit on the ground, close my eyes and listen to meditation music. It is kinda boring and sitting also is tough in lotus pose (kinda difficult for me to keep my spine straight and tense neck problem) and my left leg is sleeping most of the time. I also get sleepy doing meditation like this.

I like your way of meditation, because it sounds simple but also effective. Your meditation can be done anywhere while my meditation needs only silence and I can only do it when I am at home without noise.

Very interesting. Today if I don't forget it, I will go and watch the youtube video from Dareius about meditation in the library. I am going to try out your way of meditation and have fun! Thanks man! Means a lot to me!

I never thought about that joining this forum actually helps beating this addiction! I highly recommend for any guest reading this, to join this forum so you will learn a lot how to stop this addiction for good.

I believe it is finally over for me. I don't want to get cocky, I don't want to have ego. I have confidence in myself. To believe is important. I respect women, they are amazing. They are not just objects to stick my thing in. They are amazing human beings! I love women, even if they are not my girlfriend, I respect women :)

There is no need for me to hit the 90 days anymore I believe. 90 days is an event in the future and does not exist yet, therefore there is no need for me to think about it anymore. Now this very moment is the only moment which is real. I will focus on this very moment every single day and that will do the job for me I believe. I am using a spread sheet to mark my PMO as well.

There is only one thing I still have to do to make sure to not get back to PMO. When I visit my family, I only need to make a new windows account for myself and put all the filters and settings in it. My parents got their own account with a password. I made a password for them. T

I really hope my article about how to effectively use a porn filter will help porn addicts in the future to force them not to be able to watch any stimulants on their computer or any device. It may not be perfect yet but for me it works great! Feel free to add your bypass ways to make it stronger.

It takes a lot of energy for me to write. Just to let you guys know, I spend 2 hours at the moment. I will now only come back and write when I relapsed with PMO. I will put rebootnation on the block list because I find myself looking at it many times while I need to redirect this energy to goals to stick with. You have all helped me great and I have recorded your advice in a document. It's painfull but hey guys, I will come back one day Hopefully not soon :) Watch my counter if you would like to see my progress.

Thanks for posting! I am sorry for my late respond. I use cold Turkey now for www.rebootnation.org and I had to wait until cold Turkey let me respond back again.

Everything is okay I think, thank you, except the fact I am still PMO-ing. I thought I was able to beat this addiction using total block on my pc, but everytime I got turned on by even just a picture of a women...not even naked. I also find myself MO without fantasizing so I decided to make a second counter just to get this thing MO going down :) and to motivates me to reach my goal.

Meanwhile I started going to the gym again. I follow group class, which force me too exercise longer even when I am tired. I am doing body balance, body attack, body pump en also xco. Yes xco haha. I friend told me about this exercise and this one is really a good exercise for upper body muscle training. Although it looks pretty awkward xco, I didn't believe it until I just did it. I was embarrassed first.  I think I am also going to do boxing.

Good thing, I do not think about porn when looking to other girls during exercise. I just know I shouldn't watch them because If I get caught, I am very embarrassed.

I also started going out again with my friends. One girl I met hugged me twice when we met ;) She is from Ireland and I don't know if it is a tradition to hug people. Anyway she asked me about contact information. But I screwed again. I message her but she did not messages me back...Anyway lets'move on :)

Maybe 2 weeks after this event, I met a very pretty women and I forced myself to just talk to her. We had a little chat, and she told me she was going to leave the next stop. I was scared man but I took all of my courage to asked her out. Unfortunate, she rejected me by telling she has a boyfriend and that her boyfriends doesn't like it when she is dating with someone.
I stepped out of the train like a freaking boss :) Big smile because the feeling of talking to her and the fact I just asked her out gave me bigger balls. Porn is really shit compared to this feeling man!

This week on sunday I am going to a big vegan event. I like girls knowing about healthy food because healthy girls look damn hot! I don't like skinny girls though. I might be able to meet the girl from last time again ;) But she has rejected me. I am going to learn about vegan food and perhaps I meet someone else. We wanted both to enter a room about cooking food live but we were not invited. It was too busy and she told me she wants to go somewhere else and said I could wait and get inside if I got luck. I am so stupid not following her because I thought maybe she doesn't?t want me to follow her. Pretty weird if she really doesn?t want me to hang out with her and I am just following her like a puppy. She said maybe we will meet again...
I was supid man! So I did get inside the cooking live workshop and when it was over, I went back to see if I could find her again. I saw her together with another guy....

I did forced myself to ask the girl for contact information in the end of the event. I think I red her body language that she wasn?t interested but I just tried it and tried it waiting for the best moment and yeah she rejected me. In the end I realized perhaps this is the wrong way to do it. I don?t want to get creepy or just use her just to learn myself getting bigger balls. I don?t even want to hurt her feelings. No this is the wrong way approaching girls. I will just hang out next time and have a nice chat as if she was a good girlfriend. Only when I really am sure she might like me, I will ask for her number.

I MO 4 days ago. I went to bed too late the day before so I stayed longer in bed. My balls where itching when I was in bed. And then I gave in.....pretty lame man hahaha. Happened many times in the past. So I should not touch myself in the morning, get up fast and I should go to sleep earlier. No fantasizing though but man I don't want to lose the force  8)

Anyway, after 37 or 38 days I'm going to another event and hoping to see some nice girls and just talk to them. However I hope to meet her again. The girl I met in the beginning of my reboot. I will use this as a strong motivation to hold myself from MO. I need the force guys. Without the force, I will be too shy and afraid and having no self confidence.

I'm doing meditation just 5 minutes a day, because I will make excuses to not meditate at all.

Thanks for sharing the clip Zaraki. SO powerful. Really needed to hear that at this time. Also, good going on 5 minutes of meditation. To build a habit we start small.. some people go in and say, im gonna meditate an hour a day and its gonna be so awesome and im gonna feel so good. But once the novelty of the new experience dissapears, old habits appear, and we stop doing it. 5 minutes of meditation is so simple, so easy and managable, there is NO EXCUSE to not do it. And from there on we can increase to 10, 15 minutes etc.

Keep it up man.
