My Brother - great story, and congrats on your success.  Believe me it does get easier, there is peace.  I am so glad to hear you and your wife are working through this together, and that your anxiety is behind you.  I to have traveled this path, also working through issues - but you have shown us that you can get through by believing in yourself.

Grats to you all!

JJ,

Today must be Day 435 no PMO for you, what a accomplishment!!! Hope everything is going well with you and your wife.

In one of your previous posts ( http://legacy.rebootnation.org/index.php?topic=11134.msg144972#msg144972  ), at Day 356 no PMO, you replied below

"This has been pretty consistent for six months now. I know the journey is not over. I suspect my erections are mow at least 90% of what I recall - that buzzing feeling like your dick is supertight in its skin and is stretching it to the limit. Ninety percent is just fine, my wife enjoys it, but it would be fun to see it at 100% every time. I haven't measured  the refractory period, but I'll bet it's under 48 hours for the first time in decades. But I m still only 68 years old so I have lots of time yet to see other improvements."

Now with additional 80 days of no PMO, I wonder what percentage your erections have restored to from 90%? Do you feel it's at 100% or getting very close to 100% now? Curious mind wants to know :)

Happy New Year!

Hey i89rt5,

It wasn't a scientific assessment and my focus is not really on the numbers. Performance cannot be measured more accurately than that. As far as I am concerned, it was a serious milestone achieved.

The idea behind the post was to recognize a significant level of recovery and to acknowledge that the journey is not (never) over.

You are correct, the recognition of significant milestone is far more important than some quantitative measures. Congratulations on your significant recovery!!! Hope to see your posts in the future

667 days no PMO and still counting. It gets easier each day, but I never forget that I am a porn addict, like I am a cigarette addict and will not have a puff since quitting smoking 38 years ago. No PMO. That's all. I re-read my log and realized that it wasn't easy, but it was feasible.

Nevertheless, the results speak for themselves ? sex with madame is hard and hot and I get regular morning woods again. Yeah, I still wank once in a while, maybe once every couple of months, because my wife is not up to it as frequently as she used to be, but we are both in our late 60s, so I cannot ask for more.

To anyone reading this, addiction is difficult to overcome, but keep with the program, no matter how often you fall. Write down your journey, every misstep and every little success. It helps keep you on course towards the goal. The benefits are life-changing for you and everyone around you.

Big Congratulations on approaching on 2 whole years, jjacks. I am so happy for you.

Thank you so much for your update, I have been looking forward to it for a while and wondering how you are doing. Your update made my day.

Your results are motivating, your thoughts and wisdom are inspiring.  I am sure many of us learned a lot from the experience you shared, and benefited from your journal one way or another. At least your posts helped me see the light and hope in my quest to overcome my PMO addiction.

Thank you for your contribution to this community.

Amazing story and very inspiring.  I'm just starting at 52 days no porn this evening.  haven't found the strength/discipline to stop the MO yet.  Your story gives me hope I can eventually get there too.  Thank you.

Day 800 no PMO and still rolling along. The PIED is history, no more anxiety with the missus, and nice regular morning woods.

The first few months were tough, performance came back slowly, but in retrospect, over two years later, that was only a small blip in time compared to the healthy years we can enjoy.

The program works ... stick with it. And write in your journals, it really helps.

Congratulations, JJacks, that's an amazing achievement!

If I may ask, how long does your morning wood usually last after you awake these days? 5 minutes? 10 minutes or more? For me, for the days when I have morning wood, which is like only 2 days a week, usually it lasts no more than 2 minutes after I awake.

Also, do you experience spontaneous erections these days?

Sorry that if my questions are annoying. I am just always curious how much erectile function we could regain after stopping porn. Not to keep dwelling on morning wood but sometimes I feel like it is only measure of progress down there

Love the success stories.  Just out of the gate myself.  A few months with less then full effort.  Day 10 hard mode now.  I really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences successful or otherwise.  Helps to know when folks succeed (rock on jjacks!), helps to know when we're not alone in our struggles too.

Thanks for the story JJ.  Over 2 years is amazing.  Wow man.  I can't imagine that.  Good to hear that things improve.  Helped me to read your post.  Thanks.

Day 839 no PMO. That's 839 days since I last thought I would need a little blue pill to get my manhood up. I have been waking up with  a nice, happy morning wood almost every day now, and sex with the missus is just great for both of us. A big part of the fun is that I will be turning 70 years old in a few days. (She is only 66.)

... all this by sticking to the program. It works!

Hugs to everyone on this site.

I read this entire journal on and off throughout the day.  Very inspiring.  I'm still in the early days of my reboot but reading this makes me look forward to a better future for my wife and I.  Thanks for sharing.
